CFC Members Elimination Thread VI

It should be 24 hour period. As in if you vote at 11:59 one day, you have to wait till around 11:59 the following day, not make 2 votes in 30 seconds.

I honestly don't see the big deal.

Lol, firstly, its a damn game. Secondly, if people want to vote tactfully that's just fine to me - why not? As long as its 2 different dates so what - all games have tactics. Its just up to you if you use them or not!
As for Abaddon Inc., am I part of this? If so, I prefer "&Co". ;). Ridiculousness.

Because CFC Members Elimination is seriously business apparently. Some people treat this simple game of downvoting and upvoting as seriously as they treat games that require actual thought and strategy such as IOTs, NESes, and Mafias only because usernames are being used.

Anything other than a loss is a disgrace .

I agree with Sonereal, it's just not worth adding an extra layer of complexity onto this game. Elimination games are meant to be a fun distraction, a 'vote when you remember to'-type deal. If that does lead to someone voting twice within half an hour, then it's not like they get any extra voting power out of that in the long run (because there has to have been a period beforehand of at least 24 hours in which they've not made any votes), and it's not like it's a tactic only open to a few.

One can draw parallels between this rules debate and the various rules debates that go on in SF, e.g. the one about mod consistency. Adding new rules to solve problems that don't really exist. It won't make the game any better and you'll end up with a lot more rules debates in the thread. Better just to let the game flow.

(Besides: if someone does do a double-vote and you don't like it, you can take revenge by downvoting them!)

Well the issue is the writer of the rules has cheated on at least 3 occassions... thats my only issue.

Do you mean that he's posted more than twice on the same day? (on UK time, or New Zealand or wherever he is nowadays)

If so, how is introducing a new rule going to stop that? He'll just break that one, too.

EDIT: by 'more than twice' I meant 'twice or more'

Let's try the next game without any rules. That way, nobody can cheat. :) It'd be like Dog's VS Humans.

Especially since it's just a game, and not even one of the time-vested ones either. One that I literally can forget to play for weeks and then pop in when someone reminds me. The game has a way of dealing with the problem anyway (by downvoting HIM).

well the issue is with the current rule is bypassing by claiming he moved timezones, which still can't justify voting 3 times within 24 hours.

So by have a once every 24 or 12 hour rule, we can see that he has violated the rules and just ignore his vote.

I don't see anything sarcastic in your post.

Oh yea, I don't know how that got there.

I believe he lives in North Korea these days, to be with his family.

Sure, go with that. The game is set up to be regulated by the majority anyway.

We can't. The world would fall off it's axis and go spinning off towards a black hole. Don't ask why or how I know. ;)

But really, I do feel that rules are needed. The thread would go into meltdown if it didn't have rules.

Exactly. That's why I propose using the 12 hour, one-a-day rule. That way, people can still vote flexibly, but they can't make multiple votes in one day.

Double post. Delete this.

I am pretty sure Abaddon didn't break the rule (as I interpret it anyway) on timing.

He didn't!

Please, when you openly throw such bile at me, be able to back it up...I didn't vote 3 times within 24 hours you idiot. I voted once a day, exactly as the rules say.
