I reloaded and retrimemd the world, preserving more of the stuff outside the city.
Right now there is a terrain generation bug in bukkit. As soon as that is fixed I will fire her up!

I'm hosting it on a VPS in Texas.
It doesn't look like the terrain bug will be fixed today. My hope is tomorrow!
Is my stuff still there? I haven't been online (I'm on the family laptop now - Minecraft videos look so sharp on this monitor. Can't wait for my new PC!) since I'm getting my new PC put together, and had to take out the "old" HD from the other PC to put into the new one. So, no PC right now. Also, my great-aunt passed away last week, so this weekend/today was pretty busy.
My wife's aunt just passed last week too. Sorry to read that for you.

CT, unfortunately when I checked the new terrain code it was a different biome type around your place so your location is one of the places I had to axe. I will make it up to you somehow once we get things going again!
Also to you computer proggrammer this is a nice change. A lot of 128 was changed to this.worldheight!

It was out in the desert. I guess 1.0.0 changed since whatever version of Minecraft Spoutcraft was using. (BTW, the updated spoutcraft doesn't seem to run on the family laptop. The login will come up, but then java whitescreens after logging in and just closes without any error). Don't know if it's just this laptop, or the program itself.
Funny story, though - we were at a restaurant called "Silver Spring Mining Co", and they have a special called "Miner Joe's Special". I kept thinking "Miner Steve's Special".
Yes, it was mostly chicken and fish, and yes, I had fish. nomnomnom!
Also, I was trying out family names as seeds. Type in "nana" to start in an underground lake. You can get out by digging through the gravel.

The code changed between 1.8 and 1.0 so it is no longer a desert.
I am going through and updating plugins. Edited world is already uploaded.
Spout will/can't not be used until it is updated for 1.0 so use a vanilla client.
There is a VISUAL only bug where some chunks have some odd paters, especally with dirt and sand. Relogging will fix the visual bug. I'm in the chatroom is anyone wants live update

There seems to be chunk loading errors. Also got reports that the spawn/home/tp/ban plugin we are using is falling into unsupported. Also doesn't help the server is a bit buggy still.

Sorry about the dynamic map being down. I switch web server software and having issues getting it back up. Also added a DeathCube mini game. I hope to get commands up soon.

Mobs are hopfully spawning correctly now. Also World border has expanded a little as well as increased chunky limit to 9 per person.

Fullreloaded threw an Ender Eye and and discovered that a Stronghold was located across the great ocean. CanuckBacon, Full, Maxa, and myself decided to sail forth to discover the unknown lands across the sea.

Landfall. There is a village off in the distance. We chose not to make contact as we were in a foreign land.
Another thrown Eye told us to sail into another ocean. We did so. We found a spot to build our mining rig. We bore into the earth right into....
We are still establishing our remote base of operations
