It was a tough battle. You know the bug where the endermen wouldn't follow you if you look at them. Thats been fixed.

A stronghold and the end are now conquered. You can reach them by gate by dialing stronghold or end.
 
I think there's a problem with how we're building now. It seems to me like the Districts/citys have no "soul". There's not really anyone working together to better their place, and there isn't any sense of nationalism. Look at Green for example, it's just a bunch of people smashed together trying to build wherever they can. Nobody is really "proud" of their District, only their house and their stuff for the most part. I think we should do something to get the Districts' citizens together as teams.

One thing I always envisioned is everyone starts off at the default spawn point, and starts collecting wood, resources, and building things. The first thing would always be a small spawn location (Which can be expanded as the town grows), then the surrounding buildings (houses, town vault, bank, stores, etc.). Once more resources are gathered, spawn is expanded, and that becomes sort of the "old district".

Also, I was thinking of the chunk claiming system. In large towns/cities where building would be close together, one would get a 1x3 chunk to build on (16x48 blocks, or approx. 48x144, the size of a city lot). Outside of city limits, plots would be larger.

I was also thinking of having zoning laws of sorts for the larger towns, so that there's a balance between too random and too uniform. (rural areas wouldn't apply as much, but should have things like a fence border).
 
Part of this is my fault, I've been distracted with other games and haven't been attentive like I should be (It also helps keeps me from getting full burnout though). Part of it was me going "woah cool mountains" which caters to my style, but not others.

My plan is sort of like what CT said. When the districts fill up I would make another ring a few chunks out. The inside ring would develop further into high-rise and other large constructions while the outer districts would contain the small constructions of new players. I also intended green to be the "ghetto" mishmash of stuff as a number of people like to do their own thing, but also like to play near people.

The Village plugin we are using allows mayor/assitants to set up plots for sale, and it is kind of up to them how they want to organize it and develop an internal road/path system to support it.

My current plan on coding is this:
Finish the elevator plugin
256 height world (this can be postponed though)
Improve the new player experience.
Enhance and trim the village plugin (remove war mechanics and the like)

If there is any feature you would like me to add that you think will help with out goals and sever community please let me know and I can bump its priority.

Not really a survival player, but this. City planning has existed for ages and there is no reason minecraft should be a stranger to it.
 
Speaking of the End, apparently if you go in the black liquid the credits roll, which i guess is alright except for the fact you get idle-kicked before the credits end. So, i am kind of stuck watching the credits every time i join up. If anyone has some advice or any way out that would be greatly appreciated. :l
 
OP updated with current commands and how to build elevators.

That should be good. I was thinking of building one in my house just the other night.
