I really want a unique Southeast Asian palace though...
Neither India's Islamic looking domed one or the Chinese/Japanese one works for Burma, Khmer, Siam, Champa, Malaysia, Indonesia, or the Philippines. For Vietnam, the Chinese or Japanese one works but not for the more Indianized SE Asian Civs.
I strongly agree with that, especially given that DLC06 would feature a SEA civ or two.

From what I can tell if we have a Civ being released by itself like what we just saw with Nubia, there's a better chance it will get its own unique palace. We also saw this with Poland and Australia. However with Macedon and Persia we got palaces that were shared with other Civs and I assume that in any future expansion there will be many more Civs that will get shared palaces than Civs that get unique ones.

I can't pick one :)
I'm just impressed there's more variety than just one for each rough cultural area.

It seems like the Khmer are introducing a new architectural art style as well as a new palace, for whoever wants to update this thread.

I think it would be better to wait for the official release to make some better pictures.

Do you think Indonesia will have a different palace from Khmer?

I will definitely upload more high res city center when I got to play this DLC.

This new architecture is expected to be for the SEA civs, so I guess Indonesia will have the same style.

The new architectural style that Khmer and Indonesia would use would be a much better fit for mods that include Myanmar, Siam/Thailand, Laos, and/or Vietnam.

I can't see them giving this architecture style to Vietnam, since Vietnamese architecture was more inspired by Chinese architecture as opposed to India. The SE Asian style should be given to India instead of the Islamic dome one.

If it's alright with everyone, I'll update the post once we see what Indonesia gets, if it gets its own unique style or a shared one. I'll also wait for clearer images to be provided.

I think the Mughal palace is very fitting for India actually.

Fitting for later periods of Indian history, but not the ancient period.

But a more ancient style of architecture wouldn't fit Mughal period India (or colonial or post colonial India). :p

Well the Palace first appears in the Classical era. I'm more interested in ancient/medieval India than Mughal and beyond India.

That same Mughal palace is used for Scythia, an even weirder choice.

Almost none of the palaces fits that though. It's not a sensible requirement.

I don't like most of the palace choices then. Just my personal opinion. :p

Thank you again @sonicmyst, your help has been most appreciated.
