As much as I would love to take Brazil's theme out back behind the shed and put it down I can't bring myself to deliver the killing blow since, while it lacks the scale and power of other themes, it really is a catchy and charming little beat so I'm just going to have to give someone else the satisfaction of knocking this dog out of the race. Instead I'm going to take a swing at a song I actually like more, Persia's theme. Yes it's good, but I don't think it's THAT good. It doesn't have any big drops or "Wham" moments until the very end of its Industrial and Modern theme and lacks them altogether in the early versions of the song. While the melody is good not having those big hitting moments makes it more fit for background music than something to actively listen to. It's not a bad song by any means I just don't think it's good enough to be so far ahead.

Hopefully this one extra hitpoint can carry Kalinka just a little bit further. I realize it will probably be going down soon which really bums me out as I think it is certainly a contender for top 5 and far more compelling than many of the choices remaining.

I would buy Brejeiro some time, but I doubt that an upvote would help the song beat out the competition, none of which are below ten. The odds of scythia getting 4 downvotes before Brazil gets 2 are... questionable. America's theme is one of the best in the game, solid in every era, though probably the best in the earlier and atomic periods. Easily top 5 for me.

    Arabia (Üsküdara) = 18
    Brazil (Brejeiro) = 3
    China (Jasmine Flower) = 11

    Egypt (El Helwa Di) = 10 (13-3)
One of the weakest themes that still has a high score. How did Egypt manage more points than Sumeria, Brazil, and China, not to mention the ones that have already been eliminated?

France (Tourdion: Quand je bois du vin clairet) = 18
Greece (Epitaph of Seikilos) = 20
    Japan (Itsuki Lullaby) = 20
    Macedon (Tino Mori) = 17
    Persia (Kereshme + Reng-e Shalakhu) = 21
    Poland (Hej ide w las) = 22
    Russia (Kalinka) = 13
    Scythia (original composition) = 10
Sumeria (Hurrian Hymn 6 with original composition) = 13

Macedon (Tino Mori) = 18-3=15 ...except I don't really enjoy Macedon's music all that much. Plus it's a FYROM folk song, not an ancient Macedonian melody.

Scythia (original composition) = 10-3 = 7 Relative to others, still find this gloomy except for the Medieval era one. It's not bad, but I'd rather listen to the others listed here vs. this

I like France's theme mid to late game; but early on it's average.
Voting for Scythia as done previously.

America (Hard Times Come Again No More) = 15-3=12 - Too big. The atomic theme makes me think of astronauts, and I don't want to think of astronauts. Plus it almost constantly plays in my games with USA as my neighbour.

France has got some great Medieval and Industrial themes, but the Ancient and Atomic are both a bit underwhelming which, in the top 10, is really a deciding factor.

Macedon has got great evolving music that sounds both very warlike and celebratory at the same time which is quite fitting for Alexander. A very good theme even if I'm very unimpressed by the side it's attached to.
