I think that every religion should get a second enhancement (Byzantines will get 3), and the bonuses will have to do with modern aspects of religion. A "televangelist" belief would enable religion to spread faster with a broadcast tower, and the "jihad" belief would let you purchase Fanatics with faith.

They could call the belief Fundamentalism, then, like the government type in Civ II. It would give you access to a lot of cheap units that require no gold support.

I'd prefer the ability to purchase religious units in the same vein as the religious building beliefs - not Holy Warriors where you're purchasing units you can build anyway, but rather elite faith-based units such as a Knight Templar or a Blind Monk.

Where did you find these? I've heard of the Civil War Scenario (It's music is amazing) but the Napoleonic Wars scenario is new to me

well while looking those files i've seen a file named "Artillery_napoleon" i forgot the extension perhaps .dds of the file but im sure its a art file.

not so sure though if it is for napoleonic war scenario. :D

I was underwhelmed by Holy Warriors, especially since it becomes obsolete after the Industrial era. Why waste a belief on something with built-in obsolescence?

Combat needs a lot of reworking, currently range is too effective, completely eclipsing melee units out of wars other than for capturing stuff. Games shouldn't be composite bows-xbows-artillery-bomber spam.

One thing at least for sure - God and Kings drastically changed the Policy Trees. I expect a drastic revision of some policies - particularly Piety. Maybe Piety will get a new branch of beliefs available to add on to your "official religion" [Picking Piety forces you to pick an official religion]. Piety as nearly everyone here has agreed is practically useless now - just seems like something they will fix

The Napoleon cannon was a field artillery piece developed in France that was a primary type used by both sides during the US Civil War.

Splitting Piety into a religion and a culture tree would be most welcome, accomodated by a 12th policy tree related to some new feature (like Corporations).

If they do add corporations, I would imagine they would split the Commerce tree as well, allowing for a naval/trade tree, with a new globalization/corporation tree with policies like Laissez Faire.

What I was amazed at were the number of people on here who thought there would be no second expansion.

Finally the Zulu will come back to civilization! :)

Modded my game to add a light cavalry line of units (chariot to helicopter via lancer and a couple of new units). 1 more move than normal cavalry, a lot less strength but a +50% vs ranged units that works on attack and defence. Really makes the game a lot more balanced, and even the AI uses it quite well. That is, well enough against other AIs and ok against the human.

I certainly hope so. The gnashing teeth was deafening when they weren't in G&K. :p

Can't really blame them. There was next to no communication after G&K released, and it took an eternity for the first major patch for G&K to release.

If you remember there was nothing before GnK was announced either. We all thought the game was dead. In fact I think I had actually given up on it. Oh well who cares, we are getting a new expansion. That's what is important.

Indeed!

Although I know they are stated in the policy trees I would prefer the option to pick an chose my form of government whilst my policies just buff the empire. That way governments could actually change and you dont need to ask the devs for a policy dump action. Still there would need to be limitations on benefits to those styles of government and how often you could change them.

How about an updated Final Frontiers mod that accommodates five sided tiles? It could serve as a vehicle for a Galactic Civs three with the updated tile system.

... We all thought the game was dead. ...!

Erm... who is "We all"? Please, don't generalize!

I always thought the "CiV is dead!"-tattle was ridiculous and that there would be at least one Add-on. Maybe not two, but one for sure. And there were plenty of others thinking the same...
