Civ VII Weekly Reveal Guessing Thread

They also invented the Destroyer naval vessel type.

After wishing the devs a happy and restful holiday season, I now wish them a very happy and healthy “get back to work!”

I’m bored now and want more reveals 😇
Thanks, that gave me a really good laugh and I fully agree.

We will very likely get some new content this week, but without a preview of what to expect as there wasn't a last week for them to make a "what we saw this week post". But would be great if they did a coming up this week on Monday. It is always better to me when I have an idea of what to expect. The worst part is when you know a game is coming soon but no idea when exactly is that soon...

I think we roughly have less than a month before influencers/youtubers start posting early access?

I'd guess in the next couple weeks, but that's just a hunch. They had several rounds of streamer previews months before release for Civ6 so their marketing model is obviously very different this time around.

Well, as of this evening it is less than 5 weeks to Release, and 4 weeks to Early Release for those paying the Big Bucks, so it is time to get busy: by my count, 2 - 3 bits of data released each week will barely get them through all the Civs, Leaders, and play mechanics (air and sea combat, colonization peculiarities, Modern Wonders, Natural Wonders, etc, etc) before Launch.

Or they can just leave us to find out for ourselves after spending our hard-earned ducats, pence and drachmai, but I would hope they know better: many people are reluctant to buy a Civ in a Sack . . .

As seen in another thread, PC GAMER has spent 8 hours playing at FXS headquarter and have CIV 7 as their front page article this month.

So I'm really expecting early access videos to come in as soon as next week to be honest...

Still just a hunch for me too though

Is more like, would be a waste to do things like first looks and game guides when people can access the game that contains them. So I expect them to do them all before release.
Also they probably want to reveal which civs / leaders are in the DLC packs (that doesn’t mean a game guide for those civs/forst look gor the leaders…but revealing the DLC civs effectively reveals the regular civs)

Do you think they will reveal which Civs are in the DLC before the base game launches? Have they said this anywhere? Getting my hopes up!

No. And in the past, they didn't reveal anything about post-launch content until after launch. So even having the basic line items of Crossroads and Right to Rule is pretty remarkable.

Maybe they had to lock in the names for copyright or trademark or web-domain purposes, and, having done so, thought they might as well announce them.

I'm hoping for Himiko and Meiji tomorrow... mostly because I want to hear the Meiji theme in full. It sounded really catchy in the background of the Switch trailer!

With so many Civs to reveal, I'd be surprised if they were squished even closer together.
