Forgive me if these bugs have already been mentioned but I don't have the time to view all the posts in all ten pages:

v1.29f bugs/problems:

1) Domestic Advisor no longer tells me when a Great Wonder is going to be built (even though I set it to tell me when they're going to be built), so when I finally research the advance to build one Domestic Advisor tells me it's been built. ARGHH!

2) If there's just one unit active, there's no "Fortify All" button so I have to either fortify it individually or to "Wake All" and then "Fortify All"

3) You can only move one square in enemy territory at a time, right? Well still other civs can move their units at least two squares at a time.

4) If you don't have a spy and click on the other civ's units the Military Advisor only says "We need a spy to view troop postitions" and it bugs me so much!

Hope these are fixed in PTW or in another patch.

1) You mean they can tell you when one is being started? I never knew this was an option.

2) Well if only one is active, is it so hard to just press the "f" key and fortify him like the others?

3) Depends how many moves you have. A horseman can move 2 moves as long as he has them.

4) Well stop clicking on their units. You can see the units and clicking on them means you want to know where they are, but if you don't have a spy do the "steal plans" option you can't so the advisors telling the truth.

In other words, there is nothing to be fixed.:D

1) Yes, at least it looked like it was. But Domestic Advisor always notified me when somebody's starting a Wonder. After v1.29f, the Domestic Advisor never did.

2) It's convineance. Like the Minimap in the Editor. It's easier to use the minimap to scroll than moving the whole mouse around, isn't it?

3) Oops didn't know that

4) Yeah but the new player might not know that and the advisor just keeps on saying that without saying the regular "Compared to these guys, our military is weak!" or the "We can support a larger military. Let's build Modern Armor"

You can view all the wonders that have been built or are being constructed. One of the "F" buttons activates this screen. It's either F8, F9, F10, F11 or F12. The rest do cool things too like activate the histogram, spacerace page, civilization info etc...

Check it out :)

It is F7 to view the Wonders that have been built and that are being built.
The city location and civ who built the Wonder are listed.
Very helpful if you are coming late in to a Wonder race.

I think the advisor will only tell you that a wonder is being built if you have contact with the civ that is building it. I thought the pop up about wonder is being built is a 1.29f thing? Never had it before until I got 1.29f.

There is a preference for wonder initiation notification. CTRL-P

You only get notified if you have contact with the civ starting the wonder. If a civ finishes a wonder, you will get notified in any case, whether you have contact or not.

Doesn't it make more sense that you wouldn't know....

I think it is cheap that even if you never have had contact with the civ , that the game tells you when a wonder has been built by that civ.

It would be better (in my very limited cranium) to have a message saying _____ wonder has been built by an unknown civ....

It bothers me to know when I have a random civ setting and all of a sudden I am aware of the ___________ civ..

Yes. I noticed that they stopped notifying me too. Apparently, installing a new patch resets your preferences to the defaults, and wonder awareness is off by default in v1.29.

Oh good I thought it was just me. Thing is, how do you fix it? I wanted to know because it's one of my strategies to instantly trade the civ that's building the Wonder for the advance and then start building the Wonder to try and beat them to it.

If you change the preference from the main menu, it only affects new games you start after that. To change the setting for an existing game, you must use ctrl-p during the game and change it there.

As for hearing of wonders being built by unknown civs... the manual says that word travels the world about wonders being built. Thus everyone hears about it. (or some such explaination)

Ok, this thread has turned into civ3 Q&A. THIS THREAD IS FOR BUG REPORTS ONLY!!!!!!!! Any more posts off-topic in this thread will earn the poster 3 days.

Oops sorry. But another bug I have realized in this discussion is that the preferences only affect new games. It should affect all games. This, I guess, is another bug in v1.29f.

When civilization next to mine conclude right of passage agreement with my enemies so they can attack me from that civ's territory, what can I do by means of peace to stop that attacks? How can I persuade neighbour civilization to end that passage agreement with my enemies? Or there is only combat solution to do that? :tank:
