Based on the box art, I suppose the leaning tower, pearl tower and big ben will be the new wonders?

Hmm... "The day after tomorrow"... Don't know why, but that's the first thing that comes to mind when I look at the box art.

Looking at the BTS cover, I'd say not. It didn't come with the Sphinx, Empire state building, or the NYC flying saucers from the world's fair (I think those are what they are).

I'm not sure if I like it as much as the other ones. It doesn't have a theme. The Civ IV boxes all depicted a journey down a straight road. I think they excluded the road on purpose because of the new feature. But I still don't see a theme that can be carried with any future expansions.
If I made it, I would have put 6 different eras or aspects of the game on the box. Something emphasizing the hex grid.

Dude, it's a damn box art. I wouldn't give a :mischief::mischief::mischief::mischief: if it was just a big V...

Way too busy with no focal center. Looks like the Civ 3 FLAK is back.

I buy my candy bars based on the wrapper thank you!
And I don't read books so there goes the cover moral!

Vain! :smug:

Hehe and each unit type is occupying one hex, even on the box art :D

I like it! It should be a bit muddled. Lots to look at and discover. The discover-aspect goes well with the game.. It also gives a sense of the many different aspects of the game - different eras, wargame vs peaceful civilization, land, sea and different terrains... not sure if the factory was a good inclusion though.

not feeling it. way too overdone. they've reigned in the detail in previous versions by having it symmetrical and along a 'path'... this is juts chaotic and doesn't show any kind of timeline. fail.

its good, but to be honest, i liked the placeholder art of the stark black box with the civ V logo better. it was... dignified? distinguished? it gave the feel that you were looking at something important and weighty. maybe that was too serious for a game, but im a firm believer in the minimalist / simpler-is-better school of graphic design.

anyways, interesting art. ALOT going on.

Looks like a lot of gunpowder tech. :thumbsup: Thumbs up for a T-34 on the cover.

It does look a bit muddled. Probably I'd make it a little more vibrant to contrast with the technical logos on the top border.

box means the game will be sold in stores? I thought the game was to only come out online.
