[LP] Civilization VI: Leader Pass - Discussion Thread

I was thinking that Pinky and Bart were, for some reason, a misspelled "Pinky and the Brain" reference. :P

You know, of all leaders / civs, it would be Julius Caesar / Rome who gets his own solo pack

But maybe it’s separate because it contains a new civ so it’s not technically just a leader (Hannibal/Carthage? Alaric/Goths?). Would be cool if Vercingtorix came with him as an alt for the Gauls due to their direct history (Ambiorix too) in the Gallic Wars

All baseless speculation, but still fun to think through the possibilities of

My guess is that two of the leaders look like Bart Simpson and Pinky.

"Narf, Alexander! What're we doin' tonight?"

"The same thing we do every night, Elizabeth. Try to take over the world!"

I was contemplating COR just being short for corgie... for ...reasons... I don't grasp quite myself.

Another thing, maybe they also didn't want to shorten the rulers of China DLC to ROC (to not upset certain thinskinned autocrats)... :D
I mean "pinky" and tea would also work for China as well.

Phoenicia already exists, so Hannibal would probably be an Alternate Leader for Phoenicia instrad.
Of course, Carthage is just the immediate first option that pops into mind when it comes to “what would be a new-to-Civ6 civ that relates to Rome?” (EDIT: in the hypothetical “Julius Caesar is a bonus secret DLC, and not only that but his DLC pack contains a new civ, which is why it’s not part of the Leader Pass which only features alt leaders and personas for existing civs”). Hannibal could easily lead Phoenicia, but Alexander could also easily had led Greece and yet here he is with Macedon, so it wouldn’t be the first time it happened during the lifecycle of this game, even if it would make more sense not to split between two civs that are intrinsically linked

It would basically be creating Carthage solely for Hannibal just as Macedon was created solely for Alexander. Which

Extremely fair, actually

Odds we find out there is more than playable leaders (alts or personas- which are effectively less art alts)? Taking bets on maps, modes, city states, scenarios, etc

I'll take a bet on a new map. :)

Really, really hoping for extra stuff! I think it's likely - nothing to base it off of, but every other DLC series has come with other gameplay additions besides playable leaders, so I'm hoping.

Carthage has so many better leader options. :coffee:

Hello Fellow Die Hard Civ 6 Fans,

Any word from Firaxis yet when the Leader Pass will come out. You would have to believe it's very soon to capitalize on Christmas. End of November - First week in December???

Free leader? Awesome :goodjob:

So Gilgbro is now joined by Caesarbro. Don't love his model--not in the poorly made NFP sense, just in the strange proportions. It's especially the hands. Still, not to look a gift horse in the mouth, I do appreciate how he changes up Rome's playstyle, even if it's not my thing.

I am somewhat disappointed that Caesar's Ability isn't... AHem...
