[NFP] Civilization VI: Possible New Civilizations Thread

If you have to name just three Civilizations you want in a game, who would it be?

Hawaii, Finland, and Texas(despite the fact they'll never get in lol)

Honorable Mentions: Italy, Burma, Inuit, Swahili, Haida/Tlingit

They had 4 new Civs in both expansions and they also had 3 female leaders in both expansions. There seems to be a clear pattern. We can expect Vietnam to be led by a female leader(s) (Trưng Sisters). Maya has a female leader so there would be one more. They probably consider Gaul as a new Civ. So with this logic new Civs would be Gaul, Gran Colombia, Vietnam and one other new Civ. For example Berbers led by Dihya (aka Al-Kahina) would be cool addition.

So IF they use the same pattern with New Frontier Civs:
- We have 3 Civs left and 2 of them will be new to the series.
- We have 4 leaders left and 2 of them will be female leaders.

IMO we need more African Civs, but I dont think new African Civs are very likely.

Some Civs I would like to see added:
1. Benin or some other West- or Central-African Civ
2. Vietnam (or Pagan/Burma, Siam)
3. Berbers or Morocco
4. Portugal
5. Assyria or Babylon
6. Bulgaria, Dacia or Wallachia

Sogdia, Chola, Swahili.

I have an unhealthy obsession with great trading civilizations.

Hittites, Assyria, Babylon
same tbh, i'm here for aoe1 but the devs only want to give me aoe2
i could live with one of those getting dropped for some new north american civ like the navajo or something though, preferably not babylon though because babylon is my waifu

And you skipped Venice.. what a waste

Yeah, I skipped Venice and Portugal here, because I assume there will be a lot of people asking for them, and their chance of being added into the game is relatively bigger. Sogdia/Chola/Swahili on the other hand are more of the choice of historical nerds.

Nothing .... however that location is getting Crowded
If British Isles could fit English and Scotish civs.
France French and Gaulish civs.
Iberia Spanish and Portuguese (likely) civs.
Balkans Greeks and Macedonians civs.
Then Anatolia can perfectly fit Ottomans and Hittites. Specially considering that there is a way bigger temporal and cultural gap between Hittites and Ottomans that between any of the others examples.

EDIT: LOL I forgot about Byzantium, but still I dont think Byzantium must be a problem for Hittites, it should be for Greeks and Macedonians that are more on the Balkans side that on the Anatolian side.

If we're not getting more content after NFP and I disregard the civs I think will be included...
  • Portugal. I'm not actually that into Portugal, but I need them to be in. I can't be at peace with Brazil in the game if Portugal isn't represented.
  • One more Native American civ. The Haudenosaunee would be my personal top pick, but something out west, like the Haida/Tlingit, would also be good for TSL purposes.
  • Babylon. Or at least another ancient Mesopotamian civ. But Babylon, as far as I recall, is the only civ that's been in all iterations except VI. Assyria or the Hittites would be fine. In any case, Sumeria doesn't properly cover that region/time period.
Runner ups include Morocco, Vietnam, Italy, the Mughals, and Madagascar.

Well at the moment Anatolia has Greek, Persian, Macedonian, Ottoman, and presumable Byzantine cities ... it is full

Tamils, Manchus and Tibetans.
This brings up a good question. Would Firaxis be more likely to introduce them as Tamils or specifically the Chola? a Tamil civ means you can also introduce the Pandya or Chera as alt leaders, but the Chola itself was the Empire

eh...doesn’t really matters if Greek, Persian and Macedonian cities are in Anatolia. Hittites are a civ based in Anatolia, which is only also true of the Byzantines and Ottomans. Plus the Hittites are super fun, so I’d rather we get them
