[NFP] Civilization VI: Possible New Civilizations Thread

Is it really so difficult to imagine that: FXS releases NA civ in March as NFP Pack and thereafter Portugal with April patch for all players for free as the final gift?

Imo that's hard to imagine, but I think I have a better theory:

There must be at least one final DLC after NFP which will include the two personas that were part of the NFP Pass. So the likelihood of more DLC being planned after NFP is pretty high, if only to sell those personas.

So I see three fairly believable scenarios:

a) The DLC is released including only the two personas;
b) The DLC is released including the two personas and a final new Civ. The DLC is half price (or -75%, or free) for people who purchased the NFP pass.
c) The DLC is released including only the two personas, but alongside a new DLC including a final Civ.

Any of these options could include additional trinkets which they might have lying around which didn't fit into any previous DLC, like a couple of wonders or a map script.
---

If nothing else is planned (and I'd prefer if there were), I'm still hoping they'll open the DLL for modders. In fact that's probably the best way to signal they're done with Civ 6, other than the release of a Definitive Edition.

I cannot understate my amusement

Edit: Though I also just noticed my grammar slip:blush:

Strange. There is a privated video in New Frontier Pass playlist.

Yes, that is strange. It seems a bit preemptory to be the preview for next month's patch.

Still not that hard;)
Let's say the final gift with Portugal would require to own R&F or GS or even both of them (R&F for eg. loyalty mechanics used by Portugal and GS for so awaiting new disaster - an earthquake - because of the infamous AD1755 event in Lisbon). IMHO there would be a good reason to buy extensions by players who are still hesitating to buy them.

I just realised the NFP playlist is just a mess. There's some First Looks but not others? Plus Babylon was added to the back of the list, rather than the front.

Don't know what to make of it.
They still don't have the November update livestream which I never got to watch. I guess it doesn't matter at this point.

I'm not sure about that. I don't see Portugal using GS mechanics and possibly a unique infrastructure giving loyalty only if you own one of the expansions.

Then again there's a big possibility that their unique infrastructure doesn't have to be built in your territory so Portugal wouldn't necessary have to settle cities far away at all.

If any civ should get something related to Earthquakes it should be the Inca, which would be reduced damage from them.

Edit: It might just the Vietnam First Look video, which is still not on the playlist. Don't know why it's private.
I don't think that is the case as Vietnam first look is in other playlist unprivated.

I didn't mean Portugal using GS mechanics. I mean Portugal DLC would contain two things: a new disaster for everyone with GS plus Portugal civ using eg. R&F mechanics.
Like an earthquake maybe?

It's a shame they depicted the Great Lisbon Earthquake in the GS trailer without it being an actual natural disaster in the game... :/
Wasn't that Constantinople?

Was it? It didn't look like the usual depictions of the Lisbon Earthquake.

In fact it was a Earthquake, Tsunami and Wildfire (well, "urban" I guess). It would be odd to portray that particular event when GS didn't include any of those natural disasters.

Oh was it? I didn't know there was a significant earthquake in Constantinople.
The one that knocked down the original dome in the Hagia Sofia.
