Oh, how I wished that the "2 civilizations/2 leaders" actually meant 2 new civs with their own leaders and also 2 alternate leaders for existing civs. Only 3 alternate leaders until now is far too little use for this mechanic.
I think Red Death is seen as a "game mode". And it is not like you can import these mechanics into a standard game.Wouldn't a game mode be part of, you know, the game? And not a scenario?
The German Site "Gamestar" has got a few Screenshots where you can see new Units etc. https://www.gamestar.de/galerien/civilization_6,134736.html

The interviewer mentions Soothsayers who can call down disasters. My bet is that's them.that unit (seems religious ???) is unfamiliar to me

PLEASE let us combine these new game mode features into the standard game. I'd love to play with apocalyptic disasters like meteor strikes, without having to do it in a custom scenario which feels like a "lesser" version of the game.
Just make the disaster slider go up to 11.
Bermuda is in the middle of the Atlantic. You can call it America, but it's not really near anything. (It's also not very wondrous. More of an urban legend than anything else. I'm kinda disappointed by it TBH.) All that being said, America is the sparsest continent in terms of civs at the moment so it makes sense that far--but it's also probably the richest landmass in natural wonders so...Very "American" Oriented for now, right? 2 new american civs and the 3 new "natural" wonders are all american.
Someone else has already pointed out but it could be they're theming each DLC around a particular region. It makes sense that they would want to add any new American wonders/natural wonders in with the American Civs.Very "American" Oriented for now, right? 2 new american civs and the 3 new "natural" wonders are all american. Maybe one of the next game modes is some sort of spin on Sid Meier's Colonization.
From the interview with Anton
'At this time we don’t have plans to release the DLL source code'
Heart = Broken. I think that basically confirms it's never coming for civ vi.
Though it will be interesting seeing what modders can do with the new systems.
Also confirmation that you can turn on/off mutliple 'game modes' at will and mix and match your experience. So playing a game with all of them on would, from the sounds of it, add up too a 'third expansion' experience. Though one filled with more fantastical and a-historical elements.
It's a mixed emotion day. I'm very excited for the new mechanics. But with no DLL I dont think civ vi will ever reach the heights it could.
Not confirmed but Potato McWhiskey's video (which I'm watching now) seems to suggest that it's something you can toggle at the start of a game. So I'm *hoping* this suggests it's something you can just apply to any map of your choice.Yeah, I hope these game modes can be integrated with the main game rather than just be a separate thing (like the scenarios)
I have a sneaking suspicion it will only show up in Apocalypse mode.My theory on the Bermuda Triangle (aside from the Firaxis logo right in the middle...) is it's likely to be a negative impact on your game rather than a positive one. Maybe there's a chance per turn of losing a unit within, say, a 2 tile radius or you can't cross it until you've researched a late-game tech.
