Awesome! I think the Mausoleum of Theodoric is more "strong evidence" since it was also confirmed by UrsaRyan's video, and if you look at it in that screenshot of the Persian city above, I can't imagine it is anything else!
I agree, that's it. It doesn't have double stairs in its current shape, but has in the recent past.

The Yuan is part of Chinese history as well. Calling it Mongolia might make it hard to tell for some people, fair.

But Ming, with Zheng He exploration to go find Independent peoples to demand tribute from, sounds like a thing for an expansion. A large market is an opportunity to sell expansions too!
Mongolia>mughal would makes sense, no?

The Mughals are descendants of Timur, who has a weak claim to being the heir of Mongolia. But Bonyduck has a good point that they would both be exploration age… unless you take into consideration the formal end of the Mughals is 1857, then maybe they could be modern?? I have no idea if they would do such a wacky thing lol

That's all true, yeah. I wasn't thinking of the age divisions just the (maybe weak) successtion claims and that Babur might be a cool addition.

Like the Ottomans, a Modern Age Mughal civ would represent a once-great empire in the last stages of its decay. A better choice for an Modern Indian civ would be the Maratha, Sikhs/Punjab or Mysore

Would love to see the Guarani. 💚

I presume the quote mentioning them was from Iguazu Falls?

I think I've spotted Persia! That double bull headed Persian Column and the 4 cornered Chaharbagh I think confirm it for me - I just don't see either of those being Assyria or Babylon! Would love thoughts on this.

Just to add to this via the discussion on Reddit:

The color accents are Persian Blue (the exact shade turns up in a Google search of those words) and the lion statue in the Chaharbagh is of Persian design.

This might be controversial, but I think a European Union Civ might go really hard in the modern age. You could fold in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Dutch, Vikings, Poland, etc. and make room for other civilizations

Looks like Mongolians are getting an Ordu tile improvement. If the palace on the left is indeed the Mongolian one, then the round tent in the lower left with the horses and the smaller tent on a cart (I took a bad screenshot because im on phone and I couldn’t time it right, but trust me it’s on a cart) all point to Ordu.

That is indeed a Mongolian city (the administrative buildings have green roofs)

But I'm a little confused... Boes in his latest stream (00:47:30 ish) lists the wonders he built and says etemenanki. But the list UrsaRyan gave us doesn't have Etemananki, but it lists Dur-Sharrukin, which could look similar?? I am behind on all the forum chat on this though, would love to hear if someone knows more!

So, there's this wonder, which looks like it could be Etemenanki or Dur-Sharrukin:

Then there's this one that looks like the Ishtar Gate:

The Ishtar Gate looking one is a bit oddly shaped though and could be something else, like a unique improvement. It looks more like a temple to be honest.

Are we sure that is a World Wonder and not the Babylonian palace or a completed district featuring their unique buildings?

I'm fairly sure because in one of the videos you can see the "wonder completed fireworks" animation as it is completed. You can actually see some of the flower petals in the screenshot I posted.

I'm going to be very annoying about this but... that could be a Celebration going on in the city, no?

It's important to weigh the possibilities. Personally, I'm almost convinced it's a World Wonder. What I'm definitely convinced of, is that Babylon is in the game as a playable Civ.

You can see the same animation play when the Colosseum is finished in the b-roll the streamers were given.

Saw a Dragon icon in a clip, with Confucius as the leader, alongside other Antiquity civs. I assume that's an old Chinese dynasty.

I imagine Mongolia is the Exploration Chinese dynasty, representing the Yuan. Otherwise they didn't have big cities.
Wait a dragon? I thought I saw a horse
