And the 2020 census declares that only like 30 million americans are eligible to vote. All over the age of 70 and hailing from the bible belt....

By undermining the Census, they can undermine the proportional representation of the House. Combined with gerrymandering you can guaranty a Party victory.
Sieg fail!

This article I'm reading in the Baffler called Donald Trump "a man who looks like God twisted some hemorrhoids into a balloon animal" which made me guffaw

Well, so predictable…

‘I Said Moore Will Not Be Able to Win,’ Trump Says
By MAGGIE HABERMAN 2:11 PM ET

President Trump, never one to accept blame, may look for a scapegoat for his failure to lift Mr. Moore to victory in Alabama.

As usual it's not his fault.

Anyway, about the things the Donald's getting done.
a) he's continuing the Dubya-era erosion of net neutrality, hoping to eventually destroy it entirely:

In the mid-2000s, Bush FCC chair Michael Powell eliminated important safeguards against telecom monopoly power, and set the stage for the removal of net neutrality-like common carriage protections in broadband. Competition in broadband died and America, once the leader in broadband, fell behind the rest of the world.

For the next 12 years, as the fight continued, telecommunications corporations did sometimes censor traffic, but mostly they behaved. The telecom barons knew there would be a political reaction against them. They had to wait until their guy was firmly in power.

And now, he is.

The very same day Trump’s FCC chairman announced he was ending net neutrality protections, Comcast deleted from its website a public promise not to create internet fast lanes. In other words, now that the rules are off, large telecommunications have decided to manipulate the flow of information in our society.

b) he's already done significant action on six out of the eight proposals the American Petroleum Institute made to him earlier this year.

c) He speaks up for the little guy but has apparently failed to notice that Disney's about to fork out $60,000,000,000,000 for a chunk of 21st Century FOX that doesn't include Fox News or Fox Sports.

A deal will still face regulatory scrutiny in Washington, where the US Justice Department has sued to block another proposed media mega-merger between AT&T and Time Warner.

Luthor Strange might have been able to win it....

"My understanding is that (the new proposal) will allow insurance companies to require people who have higher health care costs to contribute more to the insurance pool. That helps offset all these costs, thereby reducing the cost to those people who lead good lives, they're healthy, they've done the things to keep their bodies healthy. And right now, those are the people--who've done things the right way--that are seeing their costs skyrocketing." - Mo Brooks (R - AL) 5/1/2017

12/13/2017 - Rep. Mo Brooks revealed in an emotional House floor speech on Wednesday that he has prostate cancer. "God does work in mysterious ways,” Brooks said.

Omarosa fired, ‘physically dragged’ from the White House
By Yaron Steinbuch

December 13, 2017

Omarosa Manigault Newman, the former contestant on President Trump’s “The Apprentice,” was fired and forcibly removed from the White House after Secret Service agents blocked her path to his office, according to reports.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders issued a statement saying Manigault Newman resigned as director of communications in the Office of Public Liaison “to pursue other opportunities.”

“Her departure will not be effective until Jan. 20, 2018. We wish her the best in future endeavors and are grateful for her service,” Sanders said.

But a White House official told the Wall Street Journal that Manigault Newsman’s departure was abrupt and confrontational.

The 43-year-old, one of Trump’s most prominent African-American aides, was “physically dragged and escorted off the campus” Tuesday evening, the official told the Journal.

April Ryan, White House bureau chief for American Urban Radio Networks, tweeted that chief of staff John Kelly gave her the boot.

“The White House still contends Omarosa signed a resignation letter. But Gen Kelly Kicked her out will high drama with the Minister offering vulgarities and curse words as she was escorted out of the building and off campus,” said Ryan, who also is a CNN political analyst.

Ryan said in her radio report later that Manigault Newman “was very upset and said that she wanted to speak to the president.

“Gen. Kelly said that the president was already informed and signed off,” she said, citing sources. “Gen. Kelly is also alleged to have said that this is not like going to the principal’s office.”

During the altercation, Manigault Newman told Kelly that she had brought the black vote to Trump, Ryan said, but he snapped: “No, that is not the case!”

After unleashing a stream of vulgarities, the spurned aide tried to walk over to Trump’s office – but was stopped by Secret Service agents who physically removed her from the premises, Ryan added.

Ryan and Manigault Newman are former friends whose relationship soured earlier this year.

In February, Ryan accused Manigault Newman of physically intimidating her and saying she was among several journalists on whom Team Team had collected “dossiers” of negative information, according to The Washington Post.

Manigault Newman responded to the allegation by emailing: “My comment: Fake news!”

Colleagues of the former reality TV star — who earned $179,700 a year — have often questioned her role in the White House, where she could be seen at presidential photo ops, strolling the corridors and occasionally in the White House briefing room.

Her departure comes shortly after it was revealed she showed up at the White House with her bridal party for a surprise photo shoot — only to be banned from posting pictures publicly due to “security and ethical concerns,” according to Politico.

Two sources close to Trump told CNN that Manigault Newman’s departure has been a long time coming, and that her role began to feel ill-defined when Kelly took over in July and ended the practice of unfettered access to the Oval Office that she had enjoyed.

The New York Times reported in September that Kelly had put her on a “no-fly list” of staffers he did not deem fit to attend high-level meetings.

Manigault Newman last traveled with Trump to the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum in Jackson on Saturday, but a White House official told CNN that she has had no direct access to the president for months.

In August, Manigault Newman attended the National Association of Black Journalists conference in New Orleans, where she sidestepped questions about her role in the White House and got into a shouting match with panel host Ed Gordon.

She recently told BuzzFeed News that she was ready for the next move — and wanted to spend time with her husband, travel to Europe and go back to being a minister.

Manigault Newman, a former Democrat, and Trump have known each other since the first season of “The Apprentice,” in 2004, when she emerged as the villainous breakout star.

Trump — who famously “fired” her from the show — later served as executive producer on a dating show, “The Ultimate Merger,” on which men competed to win her heart.

“People have long been unsure what she did at the White House,” a former White House official told CNN. “Many of her colleagues are elated by today’s news.”

Her departure comes at the start of what’s expected to be a round of departures heading into the new year.

Last week, the White House said deputy national security adviser Dina Powell will leave the administration early next year.

This hardly needs commentary of any kind.

It's interesting that they are trying to get the tax bill passed next week before the newly-elected Senator for Alabama formally joins the upper house.

Does anyone know what she actually did in the white house? Other than doing her wedding photo shoot there?

From the article:

Especially since that was the exact reason they stole Obama's SCOTUS appointment. Gotta protect the interests of those future voters after all.

Well the future spoke,
"**** You Roy Moore"

Now give us our Senate vote.
