Communism Vs Fascism

Communism is the most democratic system there is.

On the evil axis, it is the most "good" system that you can have.

Only problem is that too many people are convinced it doesn't work, and don't actually know much about it.

Most of the arguments in this thread are so phail.

And I was expecting so much from this thread, too :(

I'd say Communism is less evil because its form of evil seems to be a bit less efficient.

Ah, equating communism with fascism. Guaranteed replies!

The ideal of communism is far removed from and noticeably kinder than the ideal of fascism. Shame that previous real attempts at both end up somewhere close to the latter.

Communism at least has a theory of social just ice behind it. Fascism is just about the elimination of all freedom.

Whichever one's affecting the coming of the (potential) Australian superpower the least.

In theory communism, in practice Facism. I would rather live fascist Spain or Italy than any communist country. At the extremes Nazi Germany would be better than Stalin's USSR. I can understand if one was Jewish why one would pick the USSR.

But I don't think that's what the OP meant.

If you're going to use "communism" then use the damn word properly. I would just laugh at someone if they insisted on using "heritability" to mean "% trait caused by genes" instead of "% variability caused by genes". And of course, someone who ignores what "theory" means in the sciences I would just plain avoid.

It took me six months and at least 5,000 posts to figure out WHAT THE HECK Marxists are talking about when they use the word Communism.

Even now that I know, I still think of Stalin or Mao when I think "Communist". And I know he didn't mean anarchy or democracy because then the answer would be a no brainer, even for someone on the far-right.

No. It wishes to remove individual freedoms, based on their idea that there is no substantial thing as an "individual".

Easy choice - communism. You can pretend to be pro-communist and adapt to the system. In fascism, you'll have serious trouble if you are a jew or some other sort of victim.

No. This is not correct at all. Fascism, for one, is not concerned with Judaism, and not any other so-called "victim" by necessity, either. Nazi Germany was not the only example of an attempt at Fascism ever, and neither was it typical of Fascism by far. That would be like using Pinochet as the primary example for an Enlightenmentist society.

This is the post I most agree with in this thread.

Well, given that, rather than being evil, it's a rather tremendous good, I'm going to have to go with "communism".

Stalinism is the natural conclusion of communism.
Demonstrate this claim, with full reference to all branches of Marxist theory.
