I only have intolerance for stupid beliefs. You can disagree with U.S. pubic policy without being an asinine, America-hating fanatic.

Erm...

Question 2: You have just lost your job, what do you do next?

[_] Start to look for a new job.
[_] Go down to the welfare office. *

Right, so trying to feed yourself is definitely a bad thing. And America-hating fanticism.

Question 5: The top tax bracket should be...

[_] 10%
[_] 25%
[_] 50% *
[_] 75% *
[_] 95% *

Apparently having an opinion on how the rich should be taxed makes them evil...

Question 6: Have you at any time ever defended the regimes of the following countries: Belarus, Bolivia, Burma, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, or the PLO?

[_] Yes *
[_] No

So whenever someone defends a government you don't like...

And so on.

that scrap of paper said:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Apparently you failed your citizenship test, sharpe! :mischief:

Because complete equality sucks? Whats bad about it, in theory?

Because then I couldn't horde my wealth over the poor with my BMW(s) but only distinguish myself with my intellect -- something that's far harder to judge on appearance alone.

90%. I got the one on what naturalization form you need (Why would I know that?) and the question on which amendments reference voting rights questions wrong. Not bad.

I got 85%
Got 2, 6 and 14 wrong. Had i finished my coffee before taking the test, i would been awake enough to answer 14 correctly. At least i had luck with the INS question...

85%

Wrong answers:

4. Which of these is guaranteed by the First Amendment?
Right to bear arms is not correct.
-> Freedom of the press
8. Which of the following amendments to the Constitution does NOT address or guarantee voting rights?
24th Amendment is not correct.
-> 7th Amendment
16. Who said, "Give me liberty or give me death"?
George Washington is not correct.
-> Patrick Henry

So, even without map, previous preparation or will, I scored 85%.

I think you should make the tests a lot harder than that. It is so easy that any European with a basic education could accomplish it. I also don't have any idea why there are stupid questions like "who said XY". Why is it important?

80%, and most of those I failed are the sort of political details I never cared to find out about. (Number of SC Justices ; Number of Reps in Congress ; Form for...(I said it was Petition for Naturalization)). I also got the wrong person on Liberty or Death.

Constitutional amendment one was easy ; 7th is part of the Bill of Right and I was reasonably confident the voting rights amendments (one altering the age, one banning color-based discrimination, one banning gender-based discrimination) all came long after the BoR.

I would include questions like: "Name 4 basic rights" or "Name 5 political parties"

5 political parties? The majority of the US generally doesn't even vote. So why should that be a requirement? :p

It would force would be immigrants to make themselves familiar with the political terrain in the US, at least on the most basic level.
I think it's normal that the majority would fail the immigration test for their own country.

Aw man 60%! :(

But come on! I lived continuously in Asia until 2000 and started living in the US full time in 2004! Surely that's a good excuse!

Natural Born Citizen of the United States and gotten a 90% on it.

Here's how my quiz went

1.Were you born in the US?
[*] Yes
[ ] No

100% I win!
Thats how I look at it .

50%, and most of those came from discussions in OT. I fail to see why half these questions make you 'more American'

I scraped by with an 80% :woohoo:

Admittedly some where guesses :mischief:

20. Which of these contains three rights or freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights?

Right to life, right to liberty, right to the pursuit of happiness

Freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom of religion

Right to protest, right to protection under the law, freedom of religion

Freedom of religion, right to elect representatives, human rights

This question.. these answers don't seem to go in the same paragrpah as USA without the word VIOLATION.

I got 55%. Fine with me, I'll stick north of the border.
