It's illegal, so yes there's something wrong with it.
Just like gay marriage is wrong, right?

Only reason Belarus and Ukraine aren't in there is probably because Russia's done a good job keeping them on a leash.

It's easy to argue against an empty chair, ain't it?Calm a moment... the crimes of Serbian army during that war are pretty clear, and Slobodan Milosevic carries the political responsibility for them together with his pals Radovan Karadic and Ratko Mladic.

in 1993 British stood and did nothing to stop Muslim campaigns in Central Bosnia launched in order to eliminate Croats of Central Bosnia, other than to naturally release spectacular amounts of propaganda to support it and block any sort of aid to Croats in Central Bosnia
UN peacekeepers, professional soldiers as they all were, were neck deep in smuggling and other black market operations
and the list goes on...
Knez, what do you think of the expulsion of Italians from Croatia? Just curious about it. That was more than just propaganda.

'Relatively' brutal? I assume they didn't set every single person on fire then forced relocation of Croats is bad, Croats relocating others is relatively bad?
Slovenia is the best, they are the only ones that managed to become successful
Errm that's because we bore the brunt of the Serb aggression, 40% of our economy went poof during the war.
And people did not murder themselves, the crimes of roving warbands of Chetniks overtly and covertly supported by Serb Army and President are pretty goddamn apparent if you were around here when it happened. The paperwork surrounding it is pretty hilarious though.
few things
1) It was not expulsion from Croatia as such but mostly from Istria + cities of Rijeka and Zadar - there were no Italians at all in the biggest part of Italian occupied area of Croatia
2) It was relatively brutal as were most things that communists did, but not by far the most brutal (mass killings of the Croats and the things Germans went through after the war, those were really a bi.tc.h...)
3) In general, I'm OK with quasi colonists that came after 1918. (Sicily and so on) as a part of Italian policy and everybody who was a member of Italian administration or a member of a fascist party being forced to go, the rest I wouldn't mind staying
4) Trieste should have gone to Slovenia, as it was for centuries Austrian city having little or no connection to Italy, and was a center of region heavily dominated by Slovenians
5) interesting fact: Yugoslav communist wanted to do the same with Hungarians in todays northern Serbia and NE Croatia but USSR stopped them![]()
Eh??? Istria was Italian before 1945, so I'm obviously speaking of Istria and the expulsion of Italians after the war. Unlike the muslim campaign in central Bosnia, this wasn't a public speach by some fanatical moron, it really happened.
I take it that communist =/= croatian?
Quasi colonists? Man you are a joke. The italic and italian people have lived and dwelled in Istria and Dalmatia from before the slavs even settled there. The city of Dubrovnik is a copy of Venice.
Centuries? Slovenians? Slovenians never existed in History as a country, how could they dominate Trieste? Open a real History book please.
Oh, this is second the theorem I guess:
Yugoslav =/= Croatian

actually, genetic studies seem to imply that for the biggest part, they aretrue, too bad that Slavs aren't Illyrians. It's always better to remember it because the balkanic slavs tend to forget this very often.

"Italians" did not live in Istria for centuries (or the rest of Croatia for that matter), romanic people did, and they only became Italians during the 19th century
anyway, are you really trying to deny expulsions and forced assimilation of Croats in Istria under Kingdom of Italy, together with colonization from Italian mainland?
on Trieste, it was an Austrian city, and never ever ever Italian, Italians were just one nation living there along with Austrians, Slovenians, Jews and so on
city was (officially...) some 3/4 of Italian, but the surrounding areas were and are Slovenian (just look at the damn map)
actually, genetic studies seem to imply that for the biggest part, they are
and that Croats lead the way

err, prejudice and ignoranceOh sure, one day they literally transformed. "Roman" one day, "Italian" the day after. Really a serious argument. No surprise said from someone part of a people that out of the blue start to kill their evil Serb/Croat/Bosnian relatives/friends/colleagues.

right hereuhm... where (did I try this)?

on my statement I don't mind "colonists" from Italy that were settled in Italian occupied parts of Croatia after 1918. (as a part of official policy of Kingdom of Italy, by the way) and people who implemented that policy being expelled from Croatia (notice how I didn't mention Italians living in Croatia who were there before 1918.)...

more lame insults...Is your second name Metternich? Because you are as fun as he was.
And by that I claim what? Other peoples lands? Or what? Seriously?Aha, I knew you would bring this up. That's why I mentioned it. I was only waiting for you to claim to be an Illyrian descendant.
even more lame insults...You're a really predictable lot, with the usual notable exceptions, sadly very rare on this forum.
