Crusader Kings 2

I just had a thought. Has anyone tried to design a character that looks like themselves in the Ruler Designer? I thought it might be fun to see how good a likeness it's possible to get within the limitations.

Most characters (that matter) will get married at some point. I don't know what happened in the demo for you, but they certainly were getting married when I played the demo.

It'd be ridiculous if they didn't as then there wouldn't be much of a game left if everyone else died of old age and you'd be left with an empty Europe.

Funny screens...

Oddity: the South German King-Bishop of Poland reigning in southern France who's a vassal of the HRE

Is my Sultan referring to himself in third person now? :crazyeye:

Not really funny, but this guy's name is really close to Arnold von Metallica, which would be the most metal name ever.

What's that? He plays Project Balance? How can you tell?

It's one of the "big three" overhaul mods (well, it's more like two now, since one of them hasn't been updated). PB is the one that's more balanced focused and most like vanilla, CKII+ is the most popular one and adds in a lot of features, and The Prince and the Thane (the one not updated for the current patch) is flavor-heavy.

I don't think they can see that unless they're registered CKII on the PI forums, right.

I love this game already.

Created a custom ruler and he's still kicking at 75. Connor had six or seven children by a Danish princess, two girls married to Scottish princes, one to the heir of France and one is betrothed to England (Bedford) in some fashion.

King Harold IV somehow held both Norway and England for quite a long time, only in the past eight years or so did this happen:

and then Scotland fell apart overnight as well. Right now my plan is to strengthen my diplomacy with Denmark, France and what's left of Scotland, then take over the pieces of Wales that remain, perhaps challenge England. What do you guys think?

Ah, tutorial island, Ireland. Great place - unlike in other games, tutorial island can provide entertainment even for more experienced players.

I suggest taking one more county so that you can become King of Ireland. Then it's a bit easier to mingle in with the major European dynasties, even attempt a Crusade here or there, maybe try seizing a bit of land here and there.

One county starts are way more fun, especially if they're in Ulster because you can't just usurp the duchy as soon as you get enough cash.

I'm curious as to why Connor has that interesting surname and why his late wife was imprisoned.
