Current (SVN) development discussion thread

Awesome man great to see this modmod is making progress :goodjob:

Question, did you ever get around to fixing the 3rd Spain UHV "allow no protestant civilization in Europe in 1700 a.d" ?

Would love to start another Spainish campaign.

What was bugged about it?

Does the Brazilian UP count the number of sugars? I tried to seize 5-6 sugars, but the oil company still produces poor 3 gold. That made me so frustrated...

I asked Leoreth to give Brazilians new UP, or make UUs ability the new actual UP, but he never commented on that to my knowledge.

Could you be referring to this?

Basically the last time I played Spain a few months ago the third UHV would be considered checked and completed despite there still being Protestant civs still alive. I haven't played a Spain game since then so I'm not sure if that's still the case and I'm also not sure if that attached save is compatible with the current SVN version.

I'll look into it at the next opportunity.

The display is wrong, but the UHV works normally.

New commit:
- corrected the Russian UHV display
- fixed a bug that caused a crash when an optional civilization is disabled

The Russian UHV display works fine now. But the UHV doesn't, i have got 7 Siberian cities (marked as success in the UHV screen), but when came the year 1700 i have failed the first UHV goal.

===

Actually my bad... i conquered one of the cities :P Stupid me.

===

Well on the other hand the UHV screen counts the conquered cities not just the founded ones :)

Just started a Khmer game, 600AD.
The Buddhist missionary I got upon spawn failed to spread Buddhism at my city.
How else should I import Buddhism into my city? I'm thinking to invade Pataliputra though but might not be worth it.

I think all the missionaries that spawn at the original stack should never fail to spread his religion. The rest can.

Reload or spread it in your second city.

I can't spread it since I don't have any yet; so I reloaded. (but this time..... Hindu missionary failed to spread.) --> WB.

Anyway, just learnt that since Pagan is pre-loaded with Buddhism, I don't really have to plan attack as far as Pataliputra just to get Buddhist cities to train missionaries haha.

Oh another note: Pagan sucks and could have some optimization.

You definitely should not expect both missionaries to work on the same city. Citis is right, just keep one of them for your second city.

Could you please make it such that the coordinates the game provides are the xy-coordinates of the map, rather than the longitude-latitude. The latter make no sense on a warped map and the former would be more useful for cross-referencing with the code.

If you are in cheat mode (chipotle), you can press Ctrl to see xy coordinates in the mouse over tooltip.

I fully agree. It could use some "nerfs" or how do you call it? Enpowerments? Maybe a copper resource? Give it more production in any way?
It's pretty much useless, I raze it most of the time and build a new city 1N of it once I've researched biology. Also it is located where Yangon is located, not where the actual city Pagan is located. Or has that already changed? It's been a while since I last updated my SVN version.

I have a possible suggestion: Would it be overpowered to add in another wonder? The Forbidden Palace? It was a national wonder in the base game, but it seems much better as a world wonder.

The Forbidden Palace already is a world wonder. It reduces civic upkeep by a third.

Any word or thought on adding Oman or a Swahili civ? Civ 5's steamshop just released an Omani civ.

I'm not thinking about new civilizations before the next release.

That's nice!
And what do you think about the Pagan city debacle? (you don't seem to respond each time I ask this question? Or when BenZL43 did? If you don't respond does that mean that you're at least considering something?)
Any words on new religions?
A Mesoamerican religion would be nice, or a Mesopatamian, or Roman...
Don't know if that would be possible to add without messing up everything.
