Cybrxkhan's Leaderhead Thread

^I agree. :yup:

Anyhow, next up I think I'm gonna try William the Conqueror. I know there's already a few of Williams around, but, well, I want to make my own version too, as I've been itching to make him for a really long time.

Ooooh yes.

Though *probably* *not* *right after* I finish him, since I want to finish a couple other CotWs for my Silk Road compilation (and Normandy ain't along the Silk Road, frankly).

Alright, just felt like giving everyone a preview of my William the Conqueror. I've attached a screenshot of my progress so far below. I'm very loosely basing him off the William seen here, which I think is probably the closest you can get to the real William (there are no contemporary portraits of him so far as I know, and most of the portraits from the Victorian era are anachronistic and unrealistic):

ANY suggestions and comments are welcome, especially with this one. Especially on color scheme for the robe and cloak, since I'm okay with the current color scheme, but I think it could be better.

Alright, here's a rough real preview of my William the COnqueror. Besides the obvious need to fix the background, I'll also have to fix his neck a bit, and find a good animation for him. But the general concept is basically there.

Hm... The neck problem looks familiar...
I would suggest adding a sword to the back or to the side.

^Yeah, I'll just have to extend either the neckline or the neck itself, so no big problem.

As for the sword... That might be an idea. I'm not all for it, but I'll see. Maybe I'll add Pericles' sword.

William the Conqueror is up and ready! Unfortunately not all parts of him could be shadered, since I apparently used non-shadered stuff on him; I'll be a bit more careful about that next time. Next up after his is Khosrau/Chosroes I of Sassanid Persia.

Download HERE. :D

That looks great! I would colour the eyebrows in a different colour though.
Anyway, which parts are not shadered?

^Basically everything but the skin itself. I've been relying a lot on Ekmek's leaderhead parts when constructing my Leaderheads, but I'm thinking they are probably all nonshader nifs, which is why I can't shader them...

Anyhow, you probably are right about the eyebrows. I spent a whole @#$%load of time trying to get all the different hair parts to get to the same color.

Would it okay to use Bilge Khan as a Mongol leader?

You can shader the noshader nifs too. You only need to copy the missing NiSourceTextures + Shader datas from the original firaxis shader model. Like in my President Eden, and President Cheng too.:)
It will work, like the base.;)

The Ekmek's part; maybe you try to ask him about the base, etc.

Very nice! Could probably be used for a lot of different LHs, and could probably be used as a stand-in for one of the stand-in static LHs in the Charlemagne Scenario.

Please feel free. I like having somewhat generic-looking Leaderheads, as I strongly encourage people to use my LHs for other leaders if they think it'd work. Of course, proper credit should be given (though I won't kill you if it isn't), though I don't think that'd be an issue. :D

Ah, yes, wasn't this somewhere in Ekmek's tutorial? I'm not sure...

That was sort of my intention. I was kind of dissapointed that there have been so few medieval leaders from the original game, anyways.

Of, course it wasn't! It is my tutorial.
Hmm. Not a bad idea! I will create a topic for my tut!:p

btw: cybrxkhan, you didn't use Pericles' sword. Why? Anyway, you're lh is great.;)

I figured it would be very difficult to have the sword and the cape at the same time without doing something unrealistic - i.e., you can't really have a sword on the actual cape, it has to be under it or something, and I just couldn't figure out a way to do it. I'm thinking maybe I could attach it to his waist, but then I'll have to find something to work as a belt. Until then, no sword. :dunno:

well its not there yet but the instructions are in my thread. Mechaerick had the sam eissue with his afgan leader head

I'll look up the stuff, thanks guys.
