Cybrxkhan's Leaderhead Thread

^What I meant is that I didn't think it'd be that realistic to attach a sword to the back of his robe; if he had a sword attached to his back, the robe should be draped over it, but I couldn't figure out a way to do this satisfactorily. :)

EDIT: Ii just saw your tutorial, I'll be sure to use it with my next LH. :D

I shadered your Merkurios using my method.:)

Wow! Thanks a lot.

I'll have to fix him up sometime in the far future, though, so... yeah. :)

Sure, why not. But I'd prefer him to be v.1.5, since I want to do some more serious fixing on him in the long run.

I have to go now, but I'll update the thread when I get back.

By the way, for your thread, just for reference, Merkurios is based on Gilgamesh. :D

Added Merkurios v.1.5 to the bottom of the first post. :D

Anyhow, here's also a preview of my next LH, Khosrau I (I'll be using him as leader of a Sassanid CotW, but also probably as an additional Persian leader in a future verison of World of Legends).

I've had a lot of trouble trying to get everything to align right, since Suryvarman has a kind of a weird shape (then again, the original LH himself was pretty weird to begin with anyways). Anyhow, I'll probably recolor the shirt and the crown (again), and try to make his eyes less Asiatic.

Any other suggestions/comments?

I do agree he needs to look more Persian... I guess I'll try to give him maybe Ashoka's hair and make his eyes less Asiatic.

EDIT: Now that you mention it, The Capo, some background on this guy: He is arguably one of the greatest Emperors of the Sassanid dynasty of Persia (the one that came after the Parthians and before the Muslims). Basically, he was like every other great leader - built lots of stuff, improved infrastructure, economy prospered, culture flourished, conquered some new lands, etc. etc. etc. Also to note during this time that the Sassanids were basically having an ancient-era equivilent of a Cold War with the Byzantines, with some actual fighting going on.

I may make him Khosrau II, Khorsau I's slightly more famous successor, who was also a powerful king with a slightly less positive reputation (he expanded the Sassanid Empire to the greatest height and almost brought the Byzantines to their knees, but also was criticized for being the typical luxury-loving jerk, although this is debatable).

Well if that is the case you might want to go with the second leader. It is easier to get the right traits down when you do something like that. This is something I ran into with Harun al-Rashid, he was spread pretty evenly over a good deal of possible traits that it was difficult to get the right ones down. He had culture, military, finance, science, religion etc. all on his side so it was difficult to determine which traits he should have, or at least difficult to eliminate certain traits. Which is something that could be problematic, especially when trying to develop a personality for him. I think the best thing to do in a situation like that is to determine which civ you are using him for. If he is going to be a Persian leader (maybe not by you but by others) then you should probably look at the two leaders for Persia and determine which traits are missing. If those traits happen to fit the I better, then make him the I, if they are more appropriate for the II go with that.

True. Right now I'm planning to *maybe* add a whole new column of new leaders for WoL along with a new trait, tentatively "Seafaring" - so basically what I'm doing is first I'll just re-arrange all the old leaders first, and then see what spots are left to fill for the new leaders. As such, the only leaders I'm certain I'll add (if I'll add any) is, besides Afonso X for the Spanish, either Khosrau I or Khosrau II for the Persians. Thankfully despite having diferrent personalities they do cover a broad range of traits, so it'd be easier to see where they fit in.
