If Abaddon's cheating lets him get his way, I can go on record as saying that I won't play out of protest.

I agree. While it was my least favorite of the ideas, I would have rolled with it until now. I will not stand for hampering of an otherwise unbiased poll.

Also, I self-imposed a boycott of Abaddon's forum games. I don't see most of you on that forum to begin with, but still.

Sorry folks but I couldn't just vote quietly to get Ab off my back and shrug it off.
So, I voted and then said I was here.

Ab, seriously… whenever someone tampers with the Elimination threads you go nuts. You should have known better than this. :shake:

Is it so hard to ignore him, or report him for harassment?

Project X (assuming the host has more planned/fleshed out right?) sounds so legitimately awesome I would try to get into NESing to join that if possible. I followed a link from Abaddon here but that's the only option I voted for

I am proud to have voted don't care! :smug:

Well without NESlife, the winner is obviously Nesse.

I personally think NESlife would be the winner even if Abaddon didn't cheat. Or at the least tie with NESlife.

I voted for NESLife, Project X and NEB. Project X does sound like it could be epic- we all know Daft's unique penchant for creating utterly bizarre, awesome things.

Some of you guys are really over egging what I did. I wrote on is wall saying please vote for NESLife for me.. that's hardly harassing someone!

If NESlife does get chosen the rules should make a very obvious and blunt rewarding of variety over ability. NESlife4 was filled with straight line evolution trees which is clearly very very strange. I attempted several times to cause variety but my "older" species from which I wanted to vary always went extinct and I was kind of forced to long straight evolution trees... Perhaps updates should cover shorter eras allowing for players to worry less about their line's survival and more on varying it into many different areas? Also variety should be rewarded. Maybe more genes for those evolving older species and not ones that appeared that same era?

Oh I also have been reading NESlife3 and saw that some species really changed too much from evolution to evolution, evolution should be more building on what already exist rather than whole organs appearing out of nowhere.

I wouldn't mind if NESlife won provided Abbadon, in all his guises, was not allowed to play in it.

There was a extra gene awarded for those successfully branching a species..

The straight lines because each turn everyone picked their own creature to evolve again.. you can't really stop that.

I evolved from my stuff too, but I tried to make sure not to make a straight line unless my older species got killed...

You actually helped me in the variety:
Mimicalegger: Abaddon
Evolved from: Burial Legger
Survival Status: Struggling
Genes (19) : Skeleton x1, Jaws x1, Plant Eating x3, Swimming x1, Eyes x1, Water Retention x2, Lungs x3, Walking x3, Burrowing x1, Scent Glands x1, Flesh Eating x1, Complex stomach x1.
Description: The Mimicalegger could release hormones, possibly confusing other species so it would appear as one of their own kind. This increased reliance on others and its life underground means it loses several genes, making the creature more efficient.

Oh and I was bored so I made this awesome treegraph of the Spikii Family.

It all begun with a single spike.

NM you are Charles Lee. lol :p . Yes you were my second in command in varying the Spikii family. BTW I did miss one species in that list, remade it. Now I'm considering writing some stuff about it all for fun since I'm awfully bored, and it might help Daft be convinced to NESlife ;)

I want to play ZPNES X or NEB2. I loved NEB1s mix of storyism and arcade nesing, that's what Daft is best at. It seems it's not winning, though, which isn't a good thing.

NESLife doesn't interest me, but I could play Nesse if it was made.

Aye, I liked evolving off random species, I didn't have a "plan" for a final creature until late in the game (like most it seemed?).. and it ended before I managed it :(
