Let's have some insect evolution here too, because why the hell not?
Spoiler :

Yes, but the defenestration wouldn't have ever happened without Protestantism existing, aside from someone reviving Jan Hus.

Hussite zombie/vampire/undead invasion sounds like a great story idea.

Gentlemen! I have a plane to pick to Stockholm, to make Paradox an offer they can't refuse.

Next CK2 DLC will rock your world.

You're going to develop Europa Mediœvalis: The reign of Byzantium? That might count as attempted mass murder.

No, I will make a DLC that will change the DLCs. A DLC to trump all DLCs.

I'll introduce a randomly appearing Hussite faith, which at certain random time after it's been crusaded to death, will appear.

Except, it'll include zombies.

Now, if you'd excuse me. Plane's leaving.

I'm actually a bit surprised Jackson didn't use that many.

I am not, however, surprised at the difference between McKinley and Teddy Roosevelt. The latter is that kind of person.

The hell was Harding doing?

The giant brains of the McKinsey Global Institute have assembled this authoritative graph, which ranks the various badnesses humans cause according to economic damage.

Suitably scathing commentary at el Reg

Deaths caused by obesity: millions
Deaths caused by climate change: zero

So I think McKinsey is right and the climate-hysterics are wrong on this one.

Edit: I agree that they may be overstating the problem that is obesity, but they are doing so at the expense of other real problems like lack of sanitation for much of the global population, not thus far non existing problems like climate change.

Deaths that will be caused by climate change: anyone that will live on this planet for the next 50 years.

Deaths that will be caused by climate change: anyone that will live on this planet for the next 50 years.

Nope, that has no basis on reality whatsoever. Maybe the average global temperature in 50 years will be 1 degree Celsius above what is now. That won't wipe out mankind, I'm pretty sure.

Well, the melting icebergs and rising waves will.

Nope, they won't. My parents live by the sea and I'm confident that in 50 years I'll be an old grandpa living on that very same property quite comfortably.

Yes. I heard about this.

I think that Armed violence, war and terrorism bar doesn't deserve to be there at all. It's grossly misleading. You might just as well have one titled Transport for all the sense it would make.

But I do think that obesity, or rather the poor nutrition in developed countries encouraged by Big Food, is a real problem from a global health point of view.

If anyone is wondering to which investment bank to send their CV:

Hah, my farther works for Allianz (German insurance company) and he once told me that no company was as good at managing its money as Allianz.

And since Pimco is owned by Allianz, I guess I see his point now.
