If I remember correctly I was told many times from different people that southeast DC was the poorest and also the most crime-ridden part of the city.

Xenophobic parties in Europe, by country (according to James Mayfield):

"My map charting the spread of elected xenophobic parties in Europe as of 2013. When viewed on a map, the growth of the far-right is striking. Green refers to countries where a xenophobic party is in government, which gray means none is in power. Copyright James Mayfield/GeoCurrents."

Ultimately, Attack is regarded as a joke, and it is considered so fringe, it's not even funny. Was it not for it's party leader who leads a pack of blind and stupid nationalists, we'd never hear of them beyond in polling results, presumably this way "...and the far-right party Attack is in the last place".

"Attack" is such an unsubtle name. I mean, can't they use some generic but nice-sounding name like National Democrats or Freedom and Justice or Progressive Alliance or something.

Maybe 'National Front' would fit the ticket.

Bitter nationalists from a broken country do not see a point in subtlety, it seems.

There already is a National Front for Bulgaria's Saviour, but it's even more unknown and unpopular than Attack.

I think that map is out of date, or at least it is out of date for Norway where the Progress Party (FrP) only received 16,3% of the votes in 2013

As Finn I find it hilarious that True Finns are labelled as xenofobic party. Before boom they had like 5-6% representation, now most of new members are social democrats and other voters who dont trust old parties anymore because they are way too similar. I will in next elections vote them because all old parties simply put more energy on their priviledges than fixing nation. Myself I am international person with university education, and yes unemployed.

That map is wrong. The Sweden Democrats and the Danish Peoples Party aren't in government and they have never been. Isn't it also the case with Golden Down and Front National???

Isn't part of the reason that there are fewer industrial jobs?

That didn't help. As many industrial jobs were formerly unionized. But there are many service sector jobs that are, in some places, unionized as well. So there's nothing about the decline of industrial jobs which forces a decline in unionization as a whole. And there's been a decline in industrial workers who are unionized, as more and more employers shift work to places which either don't support, or actively oppose, unions. So it is really the political opposition to unions, and the lack of opportunity to unionize, which is the biggest driver of their decline.
