The highest I've ever been is airliner height. The highest I've ever breathed the natural air is somewhere in the 7-8000 ft level either at the Grand Canyon or crossing the Rocky Mountains or Cascades on some highway. There was a particularly high Cascades crossing that might have been higher yet.
