DaNES I: At the Precipice

To Qajar Persia
From the Islamic Republic of Arabia

Despite the historical differences and tensions between our two nations and races, (you know, the whole sunni-shia divide thing) we are very interested in being on friendly terms and setting up trade relations. in the Persian Gulf, as well as perhaps making some military pact to prevent further European imperialism in the our region.

We agree to be on freindly terms and to setting up trade relations. We are united in our desire to avoid european imperialism, tho will stop short to a military pact at this time as it way only drive us into a larger war we do not currently wish to entertain.

Sorry about missing that Jason; I forgot that the Danish player hadn't ever confirmed. The Danes say no, because they don't think that there's much of a threat to their sovereignty and obviously enough don't want to give up willy-nilly. They are amenable to a Scandinavia-wide defensive alliance and some sort of more binding trade agreement.

Luckymoose, I didn't have the correct stats Word doc on this particular network; they'll be on in a few minutes at the worst. I guess I also didn't bank eco for ThomAnder.

Please aid us. We believe our nations should mobilize into formation. Moreover we should debate the fate of Italy.

To: Belgium and America

We are sorry for the incident. This is a marxist conspiracy. Please do not jump to war, but Spain is prepared to defend herself if you threaten our own sovereignty.

What happened to Mussolini? Is he still around? Just wondering since the Italian Confederacy is talking pretty big about being able to go on a conquering spree, when it was my impression that they couldn't even stop Mussolini from wandering around, let alone defeat an army outside their borders.

Mussolini is still at large.

Nice update, though I'm a bit disappointed with the absence of large-scale revolts in China. I was kind of counting on the countryside going up in flames. ;)

To UK and Germany
From Italy

We can unify Italy under our control and save you a long and costly war there. But we request that we be allowed to build a small navy to blockade their ports.

If you do not meet our demand we will leave the 2 Sicilies alone and sit out the upcoming war.

Your Confederation is not even able to control within your own borders. Please, refrain from threatening your neighbors with your mighty armies.

Since I appearntly can't do anything for Nepal (my project, not the British :P), I'd ask for consideration as either France or Germany (if they're still open). I wouldn't mind either, through I'd prefer Germany. (I'm not positive they're still open).

EDIT: Noting the below, I'll attempt France (if not open, then Dachs shoud have fixed the end of his updtae ;) ).

Yeah, ~Darkening~, don't prey on nubs. It's not very nice to destabilize the British government.

Glad to have you.

You are the one to talk.... your nation is still unstable. We may not have mighty armies but we do have other ways.

The Kingdom of the Netherlands declares its neutrality. Ignore us!

OOC: I am really starting to get pissed with Great Britain. I have sent them the an important diplo message a week ago, and resent it right after I made my first post after the update, and they still have yet to respond...

GREAT BRITAIN, CHECK YOUR PM BOX

IC:
Oh, and the request for visas is accepted, personally, by President Hanbal.

General Diplomacy:

We thank the nations that have contacted us to lend economic support, and wish to give them our utmost gratitude (WE CARE!!).

As for the world affairs, we would like to declare our neutrality, and we will take no military action (in part cause we have no military). However we urge the United States and her allies to open up diplomatic channels with Spain and try to prevent any further bloodshed, god looks kindly on those who show compassion, and looks down on those who transgress.

With the Utmost Respect, Ibn Saud

From: Secretary of State Joseph P. Stellinger
To: The Spanish Empire

A state of war exists between the United States and Spain. If the Spanish desire peace, they will immediately withdraw all armies, fleets, and colonial garrisons from Mexico, the Caribbean, and Colombia, and entrust these areas to a United States occupation authority. The United States of America will then determine the fate of the liberated territories after appropriate reconstruction and plebiscites or referenda.

In addition, we require the Spanish Empire to publically recognize the reinstatement of the Monroe Doctrine, withdraw itself from the so-called "Entente," pay an indemnity of 100 million dollars (2 ep) to the United States, and set forward a strategy for complete democratization of the Spanish government.

Upon the agreement to these terms, the United States will entertain declaring a temporary cease-fire, allowing Spanish forces to withdraw themselves from the Americas and the Caribbean. Following this initial withdrawal, the United States will begin full peace negotiations, with the aim of satisfying the previous conditions set forward.

This is the only conceivable route to the continued existence of the Spanish Empire in its current form. Any refusal of these terms, in full or in part, will result in unmitigated war by the forces of the Triple Alliance on Spain, until she is subjected to complete and utter defeat, followed by unconditional surrender.
