DarthNES II - Superpowers

Andis-1: Please see my diplo on the last page, just in case you skip to this page. : )
Darth: Can I move units from one army to another without any stability loss, etc? Will effectiveness go down for a while?
I'm going to lose stability if I don't pay back any of my loan for the coming year and tackling the loan in years 3, 4 and 5, right? Or are my electorate likely to be ok with it as long as I pay it back as I said I would (3, 4 and 5)? This is something I will have to find out, but use common sense?
If I have no debt by round 5, does that mean no interest?
Do I need bombers to drop paratroopers?
Can trade agreements increase income?
Can nations share technology?
Is there a lag on using newly recruited troops, if so how long? How about upgrading their training/skill values?

Thank you.

Ooc:Damn you

The United States Warns Japan, UIR, Russia, Mexico, EF And any other aggressors to please describe your causus belli for these afronts to world peace.

The United States inquires of Japans sincerity in their latest agreements.

The United States questions the invasion of Belarus, Latavia, Livonia, botswana... And so many others. It especially is bemused by the invasions into their own so-called spheres of influence.

If the answers are not satisfactory, we will lower our diplomatic apparatusesmen and will be ready to denounce said nations to the citizens of the world and their own.

No mention of Mexico City or the deportation of US illegal imigrants?

EDIT:

From: Mexico

Our invasion of Beizle was to liberate the people living there. The government was small, inefficent, and corrupt. It is the poorest of the Central American nations, and the military consisted of 7 or so fighters and a small, untrained volenteer infantry. Mexico will provide the Beilzians an actual military, will alleviate the citizens, and help them grow.

We find this acceptable. As long as the people accept your rule, we have no problems with that.

Now, Russia, we dodged two shoes once, an that one won't hurt us. Really, is that really the case?

Our invasion of Latvia and Lithuania had a two-fold purpose:
  • Provide a land connection to Estonia, which is isolated from the main body of the Federation.
  • Restore the two countries' economy after years of isolation from the European Common Market.
  • Prevent their being invaded by Russia.
As you know, years ago, Latvia and Lithuania decided to leave the European Union for unknown reasons, and we haven't done anything about it. However, it hasn't been till now that we have acted, believing that Russia would attempt to re-assert its authority over a land that never wanted them (see what happened to Belarus).
Be assured that all the rights of Lithuanian and Latvian people are being protected to the highest extent the European Constitution orders.

We hope that these arguments are enough for you to accept what we did.

To: Ukraine, Romania, Moldova

We would like to know if you would be willing to sign an alliance (not a protectorate status, just an alliance) of mutual protection against potential enemies.

We assure you we had no ill intentions towards the Baltic nations of Latvia and Lithuania. We do not appreciate, however, your attempts to influence the government of Ukraine, which has long been an amicable neighbor and friend to the Russian Federation and its people.

As seen from our Russian diplomats reaction to our request, we believe your actions were quite well called for.

No longer are you the world's sole super power and no longer may you order other nations around as you've done in the past. The Japanese government felt that we had to secure the Mariana's Islands for the peace and economic prosperity of the local inhabitants. We do not come as agressors but rather saviors, the local populace has taken to our invasion quite kindly and they have been rightfully represented in the Japanese Diet and now have full Japanese rights as gaurenteed by our constitution and are now seen as full Japanese citizens.

We do recall an accusation you lofted at us previously about us intending to conquer those that we declared to be protecting. In turn you claimed that you did not "have plans to invade our neighbors, we are a peaceful people."

It seems that you are the expansionist thugs, not we, given that you have in fact invaded your neighbors. We refuse to recognize your claim to the Mariana's Islands.

You have no influence in this part of the Pacific and we could care less whether you recognize it or not.

To Japan and the World
From the United States of America

We are not blind and we do recognize the fact that other nations are, indeed, superpowers. However, we also recognize a need for a mediator, for a servant of peace. No one else is willing to question the deeds of others, only willing in their own regional struggles. That is why, by producing the only true global diplomacy, we are still a 'single global' superpower. And that is why, by pushing for peace in an unsettling era of war, we are a peaceful superpower. Nations like Brazil and India have been peaceful, but only to and for themselves. Nations like Russia and UIR have been agressive and have not given a declaration of war on the public forum or a Causus Belli for international debate. Others, like you, Mexico and the European Federation, have, but war, even for good purposes, is war just the same.

It is not a question of US as the only superpower or as one of many equals. It is a question of who is willing to stand for global good, and who is willing to tear it down for their own purposes. The United States is currently dedicated, as the only nation to do so so far, to the global good. As the only nation to look further than their region, to strive for more than local peace or domination. That is where we will stay for the present time, as an arbiter of international justice. Unless other superpowers are willing to manage themselves within the international forum, our place still stands, here, in the center of crossfire.

It is not for us to demand changes, it is not for us to stride the world, regardless of others. No, it is for all of us equals to make sure the rules of the great game is played. It is up for all of us: be we Mexican, African, Nigerian, Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Australian, Indonesia, Islamic, European, Russian, Brazilian, Argentinean, or others to stand as protectors of this planet. If there are only one referee, you can count us in. No matter how unpopular, we will take the stand and provide judgement. No matter how hated, we will stand on the side of Peace and protect this most precious of resources from the ravages of war and selfishness.

When others see their responsibility, respond to the international forum, manage peace and war together will we step away, our duty done.

If this month reigns forever, and the free nations of the world are taken one by one without reason or without warning, we will still stand. Even if we are destroyed, our spirit will still stand. Even if we are forgotten, our souls will still stand.

So be it.

The United States of America shall hold its place, whether for one more month, or forever.

We call for everyone to calm down. Throwing accusations to each other doesn't work at all. We admit that we have engaged in some mudslinging as well, but we are also willing to accept it has been a faux-pas in our part. As Japan has stated, no one around here is the only superpower anymore. Attempting to continue engaging in such practices isn't worth it anymore, especially when most independent nations in the world now look up onto all of us as the protectors of peace everywhere.

We would also like to suggest the re-establishment of the United Nations Organization.

Mexico: Atleast we're honest when it comes to nukes!

OOC: Keep up the good work, Terrance. It was funny. :goodjob:

Meta-IC: Brazil thinks a UN sounds boring. It's not like nukes are cheap enough to wipe out all Earthly life anyway so why deprive ourselves our glow-in-the-dark weapons.

What we'd be interested in is throwing God a curveball and working together in world peace on a space program, and maybe he'll turn this into a government-sponsored X-Com game.
