Simple question, simple thread.
My values (in order of importance):

1. Rationality
2. Justice
3. Individuality

Out of those values, rationality clearly is the most important to me. I strongly dislike irrational and emotion-based reasoning. Rationality is also needed to establish consistent a set of values. So it is the most important building block in my life philosophy. Also, justice is loosely linked to rationality. And the third is individuality, which is naturally derived from my rational and justice-based opinions. ;)

Edit: please post 5-10 values instead of 3.

1. Rationality - Ability to make wise decisions based on fact not emotion.
2. Strong Work Ethic - This is a trait declining in many people as technology will do everything for them. You need to know when to work and be able to contribute to soceity.
3. Ability to know when to speak and when to listen - Can't think of a name for this, but its important to me. Everyday I see some people with really good ideas be overshadowed by overbearing people who will not shut up.

1 - Inquisitiveness

Our humanity comes from our ablity and brithright to ask questions.

2 - Rationality

I think it would be better that if we all think a little more.

3 - Moderation

Extremism and zealotry always leads to injustice and death.

I personally think that rationality is a usefull tool that should be dropped once adequatly used. To much rationality leads to depression...

- rationality
- openness (As in an open mind, they can see both the flaws and perks of something)
- Iron willed (Not meaning being closed minded, but more of a stubborn approach, they can see the benefits of something new, but won't change there side very easily)

Honesty - Must be honest and nothing to hide, be truthful and sincere
Compassion - must be compassionate as it reflects the heart.
Intelligient/Understanding - Must be intelligient enough to be able to understand things and behavior and hence rational.

change my mind, i think i will replaced honesty with loyalty since i myself is not capable of 100% honesty too...

1 corinthians 13:13) And now three things remain, Faith, Hope and Love, but the greatest of these is Love. (NIV)

1. Empathy--The ability to appreciate what others are thinking and care about them.
2. Rationality--Ability to make decisions grounded in fact, but this should NOT be overused.
3. Justice--To be fair and lack bias.

In a very close fourth is Loyalty.

1. Modesty and good humor.
2. The ability to disregard set ways of thought; even logic from time to time.
3. The ability to disregard the morals of the community in which you live (not necessarily through action).

1. Intelligence
2. Strong-willed
3. Entrepreneurship

Only 3? Hard to choose just 3 as I think there are a few more that are simultaneously required. I'll say:

Respect - treat people as they should be treated
Loyalty - to family, country, friends, etc. as appropriate
Integrity - do what's right legally and morally

That might be a possible consequence, I have to admit. But some people naturally think that way, and it would be quite difficult to change what you are. :hmm: (I think many psychologists agree that too much intellect usually leads to depression.)

@Babbler:

My choices are identical to yours, so these would constitute my three answers.

..

1. Empathy
2. Sense of Humour
3. Kindness/Compassion/all related but not identical words
