1.) GPS receiver w/ plenty of extra batteries.

3.) Satellite phone w/ plenty of extra batteries.
4.) Backup satellite phone w/ plenty of extra batteries.
5.) Powerful FM/VHF/UHF transceiver radio w/ several fully charged battery packs.
6.) Backup powerful FM/VHF/UHF transceiver radio w/ several fully charged battery packs.
7.) (Well-)powered, easy to use, sea-worthy sailboat with an abundant fuel supply, spare parts, and all technical manuals regarding sailing, and the boat's mechanical operation.
8.) Onboard backup boat; a good-sized canoe, with motor and plenty of gasoline (hey, just in case).
9.) Food and water, enough to survive comfortably for at least 3 or 4 months (why take chances...).
10.) .50 caliber machinegun (M2), with several belts of ammo (including tracers, armor piercing, and explosive/incendiary rounds). Alternatively to defense, it also serves the purpose of giving me an easy way to blow my head clean off, if somehow everything goes south.
I'd head out, towards the nearest Allied port (guided by GPS), and use my radio(s) to hail the Coast Guard on 121.5 VHF, and 243.0 UHF when in range of U.S. monitoring station areas. I'd also use my satellite phones, in advance, to pre-arrange an escort into a home base.
