Mobboss if you wouldnt say the pledge over such a silly thing then that means you are really not as loyal to your country as you say you are.

No...its just that my loyalty to my God is higher.

And you call yourself a former soldier? PTU! I spit on your medals (if any). :p

No...not a 'former' soldier at all...still currently serving. And I guarentee you, a person that tries to spit on me will be spitting teeth shortly after. I wont even hesitate to think about it.

No...but I am rather tired of atheists complaining that living in American is like living in Iraq because of things like the Pledge. Its not anywhere close.
It's not but its still not right.

It should be changed to read

"I pledge alliegence, to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation above god, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

You bashed people for wanting a Godless Constitution. I pointed out that that is what we had and made a suggestion of where you could find one that wasn't Godless. You made a suggestion of what one could do if they didn't like the God-level of content in the Constitution. No need to get upset when I feed your advice back to you.

Given your confessed health issues, you might want to be a little careful with who you take that policy towards - otherwise you might find yourself with dental issues also.

Well, let's just get all Vietnam-era-minded, whine about the establishment, and undermine all authority, beat up the Pledge of Allegiance, having no stomach or wherewithal for war whatsoever, nevermind any real bonafide sense of patriotism.

If I were an outsider, biding my time (say... China for example) - I would continue waiting patiently. It all started with the Baby Boom generation. I maintain that they have started a cultural trend that WILL ultimately destroy this country.

"Our Country won't go on forever, if we stay soft as we are now. There won't be any AMERICA because some foreign soldiery will invade us and take our women and breed a hardier race!"

-Lt. Gen. Lewis B. "Chesty" Puller, USMC

Nothing really changes. Rome will fall again. It's a cycle... when you get on top, you destroy yourself by way of retracting all vital competitive edges. It may very well be nature... keeping things in check. But who knows.

Though, I do know the path to societal weakness/breakdown when I see it, and I know there are those in the world waiting to capitalize.

Like I say, nothing really changes. Everything is cyclic... and the patterns aren't hard to find.

Hardly. What confessed health issues are you referring to? So I cant run for over 2 miles on my leg....thats not going to hinder what I can do at arms reach. And I am more than confident in my ability in that regard. I used to bend people into pretzels.
