I made one to keep in touch with my old friends from high school after moving on to college but lately I haven't used it that much.

Facebook is far superior for many reasons, and while I haven't tried Orkut (Google's version), I think Facebook is solid.

Wootage for me!

Oh, and do i get a cookie off Curt for hunting him down? :)

Nope, never had Myspace, never will. I really don't like the vibes I get from it (the format/all those dang emo kids). I do have a Facebook account, though, which I check regularly.

Same here.

I have far too much to do to have one of those.

I don't have one and I'm not getting one

I signed up because it's like Classmates.com, only free. I use it to look up people I went to school with and such. Mine's in my profile.

I don't have one, and I don't plan on ever getting one, for reasons that plenty of people have brought up already.

I do have a facebook account, which is much better, even though I think they erred in offering it to high schoolers and the general public.

What are some of the main differences from myspace and Facebook? Some of my friends want me to get a Facebook, but I tell them just use my myspace. They say Facebook's better. Why?

Facebook has greater functionality at the cost of lesser individuality. ie. You can't turn your background mauve and make the writing flash annoyingly.

Basically, you can't perv on people in facebook, as it only allows you to look at people in your "network" (i.e. your school/college/university), so you can't check out their pics and stuff... so it's harder to stalk people. Also as Truronian says you can't customise your page -- what you see is what you get and everyone gets the same thing.

IMO myspace is 100x better. Ok so maybe some kids who can't do html screw up their profiles and make them annoying with 1,000,000 different sounds going at once and all the writing annoying colours, but who cares just dont go on their profiles...

I have one, mostly for keeping track of what my favourite bands are up to, etc.
It is indeed a useful tool for bands, often I check out new bands by looking at their myspace page and listening to the free tracks!
