DS2 - The Dominating Prusians

Here is a short report after 3 turns :

1735AD(0) - Pre-turn. Upgrade 25 Artillery to Radar Artillery for 1000gp. Why are we building privateers? :confused: Flown more units to Zululand including 2 armies. Captured Hlobane 2 which comes with 4 workers. Got a Great Leader, Horsa, for killing a Aztec rifleman. :lol: Russian demand Integrated Defense. We
refuse and war is declared.
1740AD(1) Mauch Chunk captured. Salamanca captured. Zimbabwe 2 captured and renamed to Sheer's Post. Flying in more fresh troops to Zululand. We signed an alliance with Japan against Russia. Aztec & Greece alliance against Egypt.
1745AD(2) - Grand River captured. Allegheny liberated. Aztec declare war on Chinese. Aztec declare war on Babylonian.
1750AD(3) - Germany now have a supply of Furs. There shall be NO UN election during the rule of Dark Sheer! Muwahahaha! ;) Isandhlwana 2 captured and renamed Sheer's Throne. With the arrival of Furs I reduce luxuries to 80% to have a positive cash flow. Signed Peace Treaty with Aztec. Taking a rest for our
battle weary armies. At 88% approval rating I believe we can still hold on to quite a number of turns in war. ;)
 
hehe sounds like the end is nearing really soon....
 
Dark Sheer: the Privateers are used to lure the enemy fleets into the arms of Carrier groups.... Works nicely! But here it was more of a game, seeing as we already outproduce everyone else :D

2 Carriers, 4 Privs, 8 Bombers and usually, 8 enemy ships head for prot for repairs... the transport sails through, the Mod Armor takes the town...... Now why did the AI build ships in the first place???????


What inspired me was the way the AI behaved in 1.16: they would attack a privateer that's on the smae tile as a Battleship with Galleons, so crazy were they for a Pirate-kill..... Threw loads of Galleons on my fleet.... If they'd used them on my Transports :( but NO, the Missouri and the New Jersey raked up kill after kill..... because the strongest ship defends :D
 
And so the story continues....
1752AD(4) - Akwesasne captured. Mpondo captured at the cost of 2 MA. Continue to fly in new troops to Zululand. Zulu & China signed peace treaty.
1754AD(5) - New Stuttgart founded. Zunguin captured. Hlobane captured. New Ibabanago captured. More hardware flown to Zululand which includes a new army. Babylon and Russia signed Peace Treaty.
1756AD(6) - Cattaraugus liberated. Krasvonodsk captured. It comes with 2 Stealth Bomber and 2 workers. :lol: Babylonian & France signed Peace Treaty. France and Russia alliance against us. :( China declare war on Japan. Egypt and Japan signed Peace Treaty.
1758AD(7) - Signed a Peace Treaty with Zulu for 2 Cities and 4 workers. New Bonn founded. Starts building France liberation forces. France & Japan signed Peace Treaty.
1760AD(8) - Celebration all over Germany as war with Zulu temporarily suspended. ;) Continue to build up France liberation forces. Killed 3 Russian MA. Greece and Aztec alliance against Babylon. We lost our destroyer to France bomber.
1762AD(9) - Our first 2 boat load of units landed in France on a hill. We sank a Russia Cruiser. France throw almost everything it got against our landed stack. And we lost 1 brave transport (empty of course ;) )
1764AD(10) - Egypt & Aztec signed Peace Treaty. Zulu & Aztec signed Peace Treaty. China & France signed Peace Treaty. Our landed stack capture Chartres. We send another loaded transport and Besancon is captured. Another full boat load is landed in Besancon immediately to reinforce it.

We should try to rush an Airport in France as soon as possible. Once that is done, France will be a goner. ;) Do not attack Egypt at the moment as I have signed an RoP with them so they can attack Greece (I am evil! :lol: ) Once the Airport is up we can then fly some Army from Zululand to France. ;)

One question though :
Krasvonodsk captured. It comes with 2 Stealth Bomber and
I thought planes where destroyed just like ships when you captured a city ? or did they get changed in the mod ?

Well 9 turns played so far.. French and Russian wars are over now.

Preturn
Besancon taken off auto management, starving the city and changed production to library.
Spent about 20 minutes setting up response teams and reinforcements off the main island for shipment to france.
Battleshipt by Kolhapur taken off fortification and moving south to intercept the russian battleship
Sold wines to Japan for 88gpt

Updated most of the territory maps. Everyone but babylon, France and russia got updated maps
Adjusted a few cities, we now have a positive gpt. +35gpt at 3.0.7
Tried to plant spy in france.. failed.
Rushed a few temples/libraries

Reinforced roman territories, we need fighter support and air superiority missions to take france. I ordered a few carriers built.
Started land bombard from Hannover - lost one stealth bomber to fighter
(I)Our remaning forces on French soil fought bravely, And because of it a Great Leader emerged. Unfortunately he was assinated before we could recover him.
(I)Unhappiness in Roman cities. - There is a russian carrier group somewhere off to the west coast of what used to be india if memory serves.

We can make peace with both France and Russia without paying and also without recieving anything. Unfortanetly we still have 9 turns with japan left against Russia.

*Minor mishap here.. i had saved the game to what i thought was 1768ad, but somehow it was 1762ad.. that only took 5 minutes to figure out.

They are using 2 of there 3 carriers off our coast, if the AI was smart they would retreat now.. wonder what they will do.
(I)France and Babylon sign a MPP, something has spoked Russia. They have started a full on retreat in the Roman territories and there carriers made a break for it.

(I)About 20 cities or so fell into disorder, since i went on the offensive with Russia. We have taught them a lesson, as soon as i get control back im ending the war for 20 turns :lol:

Airforce is mostly fortified in New Nuremberg over in the old Roman area atm. Battleship near Palmyra is heading there to provide escort to the 3 carriers stationed there.
The majority of our workers on the core island have been sent to the jungles. There is a nice Carrier group supported with subs ( with special weapons ) and battleships.

My suggestion is to Finish of the zulu's first, as the French have a MPP with Babylon still. But if you want to take out France, I would suggest 4 more transports be built before the invasion.
Also i the reason most of the cities are building Mech infantry is i wanted to clear out all the modern armor on city defense.
2 attack forces sitting in reserve, one is in the south near Arbela and the other is in the north near Berlin. Both have a stack of Modern armor and a stack of Radar artillery. The Southern force also has all the Extra Calavary i was freeing up as well.
Was using Rome as a healing point for our Forces against russia, Check there next turn there should be a sizeable force fully healed, also there is a reinforcement stack of Modern armor next to Pisae with a stack of Radar artillery.
The Roman territory still requires massive terrain improvements, Zulu territory is nearly completed.
Kazan and Krasnoyarsk still have 1 resistor left in there. There are several armies in the Newly conquered Russian cities. You will probably want to pull them out as soon as possible in case of culture flips.

Oh yeah.. the Zulu still have forces inside our borders, don't worry they just finished off the japanese cities and are moving back to there territories. You could use this to start the next war with them, just make sure to get all the workers out of range.
The city inside zulu territory has a Airport already. Just in case :)

Darksheer: The french countered with 3 times as many units as you had landed. With no carrier support and none of the roads destroyed around the captured cities the ambious assualt failed miserably. We might have been able to hold onto the cities for more then half a turn had you just taken one of the two and pillaged/bombarded the roads around the city so they couldn't get to the city there next turn.
 
Ah, well...funny thing they didn't take out our landed stack the first round. No matter, I am sure we will get back at France soon. ;)

Now its up to Killer what to do next. :)
 
Going strong, Zulus just lost 1/4 of their land in 1 turn and it isn't over yet :D

Also, the Invasion of France is only 1 turn off, some 60 units in all :D :mwaha:
 
Woot!!! time to pay those backstabbing french back :p
