Bright day
Well I don't believe in bearded person in toga sitting on cloud. I do on other hand believe in God.

But far, far less than has been generated from the Bible....
The idea of putting a price tag on God's Words. For shame. :shake:

So, when you imagine your God, do you picture Him as having a physical form?

No I do not picture It with physical form.

So what attributes does It have?

It is First Cause. That only is for sure. All other things are by our nature open to discussion.

Trying to imagine God is like describing colour to a blind man. It is a whole new dimension which we can't understand.

In that case, you cannot even begin to talk about belief in or no belief in "God."

Why not? Color exists. Blind people believe in it.

A decently powerful God would be able to describe himself to a sentient species. I have more understanding 'room' available to fit a concept of God than I currently have information about God. It's not like Math, where my mind seems to be at its limit of understanding, but I know there's more advanced math out there.

Colour is a conspiracy!

"Before I was born I didn't exist and it didn't bother me. After I die I won't exist and I don't think it will bother me then either." -Some writer

I don't believe in any god. Doesn't exist until provent to exist. Innocent until proven guilty and all that.

Either way I figure if you lead a "good" and "moral" life does it really matter?

Imagine a person who is deaf and blind. How would such a person know that he or she does believe in color - and not sound, huh?

I don't know. I'll ask the next blind and deaf person I come across ;)

More like trying to describe Santa Claus to a kid who's already become a teenager. ;)

Ahh, the old Santa Claus analogy. I do tire of it. Belief in God is a little more complicated than that.

Well ... it can be. But it certainly might not be. I mean, there's a reason why people who study Theological Philosophy have a better understanding.

Because in the case of Santa Claus, one's parents will generally admit that they were lying when they spoke of his existance, and it is passed on that way. Also, we have a very good idea of what powers and attribtes Santa Claus can have and where he should be if he exists.
