EkoNES II: The King of the Doreans

Subscribing to thread.

Tomorrow or the next day I will add descriptions of the various cultures, religions and other kingdoms to the thread, and after that the game map.

Once I've done this I'll be opening the game for sign-ups.

Thanks for all the interest so far! :)

Well this is going to be a bit awkward.... Greetings everyone Eko has risen me from the dead to play his NES. And first off I'd like to apologize to everyone who my sudden disappearance effected in NES's, especially Immaculate, life got very crazy there for a while but it's calmed down a bit and should be able to play NES's again now.

Great to see some more interest, and of course the return of merciary :). Keep watching this thread. I'm aiming to open sign ups within a couple of days.

I see some faces here. Hi guys. I wish you all good luck and especially Eko in managing this game. I way sometimes thinking about starting NES with respect/prestige as a key game mechanic, but I've never managed to get enough time to pull it off - and that's the reason why I (sadly) won't be participating in this one.

But I will be watching. Closely.

Ah that's a shame Algeroth it would have been great to have you. In other news, religion info has been added to the OP.

Sign-ups are now officially open!

If you are interested in joining this NES, please post a name of a Duchy, Ruler(s) and Dynasty, along with an approximate starting location in the main body of the Empire (not the islands or coast of Yelre in the south), and a prefered colour for your Duchy if you have one. A little bit of background history to your realm and dynasty would also be great.

Really looking forward to getting this started!

Eko :)

Rivenhold/ Thomas.berubeg
Ruler: Thomas Lantak of Rivenhold
Dynasty Lantak

Location: the mouth of either of the two rivers.

Barth/Seon
Ruler: Duke Edward Felicius of Barth
Dynasty Felicius

Location: At the southeastern bay, close to the eastern borders of the Empire.

Esgon/nutranurse
Ruler: Duchess Cassille Lyonod of Esgon
Dynasty Lyonod
Location: Southwestern bay area near Estor.
Color: Orange

Duchesses are allowed, right? If not the de jure ruler is her son, Duke Tion, and she is the de facto ruler.

Duchesses are definitely allowed.

The Dorean Empire is dominated by men in the Church and lower classes, but amongst the aristocracy there are plenty of powerful women. Similarly you can have a Duke and a Duchess at the same time, you don't have to restrict yourself to just the one.

Then I'll still go with the powerful duchess and child duke idea!

Thanks, Seon.

Phinte/spryllino
Ruler: Duke Jerome-Philadelphus III Liffelthim of Phinte
Dynasty Liffelthim

Location: Straddling both rivers where they come relatively close together.

(I choose there because I want a wealthy place - although not necessarily large or even tremendously contiguous - urbanised and dependent on trade or manufacturing rather than agriculture, with at least one first-rate city in it, please.)

Pvatailles/Shadowbound
Ruler: Duke Gerome
Dynasty Reggent

Where the two rivers come closest together.

Great to see some more players on board. Remeber though that I also need a colour for your land on the map, and a brief description of your Duchy, dynasty etc.
