Question: Married Name Change? I was imagining the Duchess to be from lower nobility married into the Aletnos to consolidate their Duchy. Would she retain her family name or change it?

From what I understand nobility retain their family names. They're just Duke Blah Blah Y of Place and Duchess Blah Blah X of Place. And after a certain point they're just identified with the place they rule, like my duchess calling your duke 'Denath' or something wouldn't be seen as weird.

Yeah I know that, but I also know some cultures change the last name to the spouse and others retain their family name. Other's hyphinate it. That's all I was curious about.
