    Ugh...definitely one of the most difficult turnsets I've ever played...sorry if it's not perfect. As you will see, it was full of "what the @#$%?!!?!" moments.

    Step 4 - ???
    Step 5 - Profit!!
    Step 6 - Mash enter

    - Move troops to the right side of the river from Thermopylae
    - Use army for pillaging Athens

    Turn 2 (90AD)

    - Iznik worker -> cat
    - Sparta cat -> sword
    - Thermopylae is taken with three hoplite and one sword causality (4-1)

    Turn 3 (110 AD)
    - Renew silks for spices deal with Gilgamesh, able to squeeze in 26 buxx for us!
    - Edrine sword -> sword
    - Uskudar spear -> worker
    - Russian descend upon Bananatown! My poor beloved Bananatown!!! I abandon it aswell... :cry:
    - Indians already moving settler party to the flaming ruins of Thermopylae :rolleyes:

    Turn 4 (130 AD)
    - Greek archer snipes open sword... (4-2)
    - ...promptly kill it. (5-2)
    - Rebuild Aydin
    - Kill a Russian rSword and rArcher...but they reveal four Russian rSwords, one warrior and one archer...! (7-2)

    Turn 5 (150 AD)
    - Russians kill an archer (7-3)
    - Konya spear -> rax

    Turn 6 (170 AD)
    - Russians keep on moving south...oh no.
    - Bursa sword -> sword
    - Kill two stray Greek archers
    - Lose a sword in killing a sword (10-4)

    Turn 7 (190 AD)
    - Russian attack...kill and sword and lose a spear and a sword (11-6)
    - Uskudar worker -> sword
    - Kill Russian sword + spear (13-6)
    - Six hoplites in Athens, kill two with army (15-6)

    Turn 8 (210 AD)
    - Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Athens
    - Kill four wounded hoplites to capture Athens! (19-6) :thumbsup:
    - Greeks are now down to one city.
    - Kill Russian sword on the doorstep to New Aydin (20-6)

    Turn 9 (230 AD)
    - Lone archer kills Greek one
    - Bloodbath at New Aydin five Russian attackers kill one defender (26-7)
    - Iznik cat -> sword
    - Kill four Russian units (30-7)

    Turn 10 (250 AD)

    About the whole GPT thing, all was well until the last turn (we even had a surplus), then suddenly it dropped like crazy... And that was with only building one unit and no improvements during the IBT??? I decided not to deal with it and leave it for you, I was already exhausted (mentally) from the grueling warfare.

    Under the given circumstances you did quite well, I think. It was not easy. And with another army the result is quite good. :thumbsup:

    I think getting into Republic soon would ease our cash woes. I don't see monarchy as necessary since this isn't AW so WW won't stack and as far as unit support, our stack is almost overkill, at least during my turnset it was. I never used more then half the units.

    I strongly disagree. Republic won't help us with unit support at this stage. It would completely cripple our economy.

    With two armies available, we sould have no trouble with our enemies for quite a while.

    And at some point we want to capture The Great Library to get us a bunch of techs.

    This is just Emperor and we can handle things, I believe.

    We need to spam some cities to regain our cash flow. Republic is only going to hurt us since our unit support is insane already.

    Can we even afford Monarchy at ths time? We need space to spam cities and it'll take the big military to get that space. I think we will not be revolting soon. The unit support issue came from losing towns. Anyway, I will start play Friday.

    I just noticed that the Sumerian's have the GL. This will save us much gold if we capture it. I think they need to be bumped up on our list of who to strike. :evil:

    The kill list is set by the order we've met them, unfortunately.

    Even when the Greeks are gone, do we have to declare on India, with the war in Russia and all. :confused: I think we can find a loophole. I think the two rules are we have to declare in the order we meet them. The one I am not sure about is "must always be at war." Could we get away with saving India until Russia is done?

    Don't worry, it may be hard to get Greece eliminated in 4 turns, India might give a leave or declare immediately. There is nothing in the rules saying you must declare war on a third civ to get to a target civs last city. Also, I noticed that India has an island town, so we will have to build boats to finish them.
    Edit: Finished, still rough going. See the tun-log here:

    IBT: Russia lands a spear near Athens. Troops advance our way up north.
    Sumeria boots catapult, settles west of Athens.

    Turn 1, 260 AD: Load 2 swords into empty army.
    Kill Russian rSpear clean. 1-0
    Move Cats and swords toward Delphi, bet they get booted ASAP.

    IBT: India boots our SOD. Russians advance. Sumerians acting untrustworthy.
    Bursa Swordsman=>Swordsman.

    Turn 2, 270 AD: Add *elite to army. Cats hit 1 of 5, eSword wins vs rSword, -2hp, 2nd Army kills rArcher clean. 3-0.
    1st Army heads toward Delphi, if they get booted, maybe it will be in the right direction.

    At New Aydin, Cats hit 3 of 5, eArcher wins vs rSword, -2hp, 2nd Army kills rSword clean. Then, great news! eSword kills rSpear clean and we get a leader! Unfortunately, we need 3 more cities to build another army, so I stockpile him til we get a team decision. 7-0. Move troops next to Bengal.

    IBT: Oh crap, India has swords, lose archer near Delphi, lose a Spear, 2 workers and next turn, Iznik. Russians advance.

    Turn 6, 310 AD: Kill 2 rSpears clean at Karachi, leaving a Warrior on top.

    Switch some Barracks to Libraries, we need culture.

    IBT: Indians grab Iznik, move a sword and warrior towards Athens, move sword to guard Karachi. Russiand advance, also land horse near Bursa.
    Athens Worker=>Worker.
    Edrine Settler=>Swordsman.
    Bursa Swordsman=>Swordsman.

    Turn 7, 320 AD: rSword wins vs Indian rWarrior,-2hp, promotes.

    At Karachi, 1st Swords kills 4hp eSword, -4hp, loses 3 more hp vs rWarrior, but Karachi is ours.
    Should have known better, 2nd Swords lose 5 hp vs rSpear at Yakutsk. 22-2

    IBT: Russians advance, now Yakutsk has a pike on top. Army will have to rest first.
    Istanbul Swordsman=>Swordsman.

    Turn 8, 330 AD: Bad news. India may have a 1-tile island, Greeks have another city out in the fog too. vSword loses to Russian rSpear near Uskudar. 22-3

    IBT: I never learn, Indians grab 3 workers near Sumerian Border, they have a RoP.
    Russians advance.

    Turn 9, 340 AD: At Delphi, Cats hit 5 of 8 hits: *eSword wins vs 1hp rHoplite, -1hp. vSword loses vs 1hp rHoplite, who promotes. vSword wins vs 1hp vHoplite clean, and Delphi is ours.

    Never really tried NOW, but it would seem you could DOW Summeria at anytime, prior to their turn. What I am not sure about, is can you make peace with anyone at anytime as long as they are not at the the top of the list?
