Some of you may have hear about the recent trouble in Tallin, this link gives you opportunity to show your support to Estonian people.

The story in short for those who doesn't know:

Estonia government decided to move one communist monument (it was built in USSR times) outside of center of Tallin, because of events last year (communist supporters made some trouble there). Now, when the government started to do things, lots of these communist supporters (approximately 1000 ppl, almost only Russians) showed up and even started to demolish everything in their way, some 50 people got injured, one got killed, some shops were robbed, etc.
Russia does support all those commie thugs, just because they're Russians and because they don't like that the monument will be removed from center of Tallin (it's like a sign of their power there).
For now, afaik, everything is bit calmed down, but still, many things can happen.

And now there is this internet poll, where u can show your support to Estonia and it's indepedence.

U can read more about it in internet and some CFC folks from Tallin can tell u more details of this all.

I hope on your help, lads :)

I dont see the point of moving the statue... and the Estonian Government should have the common sense that moving it would only cause something like this. Let the Statue stay.

It looked odd when I watched the news. Places looked familiar, but I felt that the rioting didn't fit to the context. :(

BTW, the link didn't work for me. :(

I have no doubts u would like to see every country in this world as a part of your red empire. We have many of your kind here also in my country, so i know your desires well.

I've already got 4 warnings for outbursts against people like you but I'll spare you this time.

I dont really care about it. But we're talking about World War II Soldiers who died, I dont see it is a monument to Communist acheivement but a monument to the death of those soldiers.

And dont you dare judge me, you know nothing about me and it makes us both look ignorant.

Estonians see the monument as a sign of occupation, of loosing their freedom to red army. And it's their country, so it's their will to do anything they wish, not what Russia wants.

In life outside the internet, there's rarely any talks with the real russian reds. Fists do the talking.

I have nothing against the old communism as it was as a theory or as it was in ancient regimes b.c. But i'm surely against this imperialistic communism as Russia seems to use it, a tool for oppressing other nations.

Well if the Soldiers had not fought you would have been occupied anyways by Nazi Germany...

And you claim to have lost your independance to the Red Army. Did the Red Army really strip you of Freedom or did Stalin? Did the USSR not try and make things better dollowing Stalin's death, and did the USSR not invade you when you left the Union?

I can understand you wanting to tear down a Statue of Lenin or Stalin. But these were soldiers who fought and Died in the Greatest War ever.

So basically, being a communist and a Russian you judge me as nothing more then swine that would sooner put his fist to your face then try and talk things over.

And for the last time, I beg that everyone try and realize that Russia never was a Communist State during the time of Stalin, but a Totalitarian Power, ran under the title of "Communism" but never so, and that not every Russian wishes to oppress you.

In Estonia is another place for remember and honour fallen soviet soldiers,.. i wonder why there is never been flowers or for that matter any people. Removed (to be replaced) monument was just a place where russian youth who don't even understand what this monument meant, drunk alkohol and got into fight (in few last years.. so where's your honouring of fallen heroes there). These rioters were just a criminals who quickly forgot the honour and went ravaging and stealing.. only thing they do now is to make Estonian govt and police look through twisted propaganda as the bad boys.
This monument and the remains of fallen soldiers will be relocated into much more appropriate place in War Memorial Cemetary, where all that really want to honour the dead!

I have one small question. Have Russia monuments with German soldiers to admiration of them?

This monument will be moved, not destroyed.

Did the Red Army really strip you of Freedom or did Stalin?
Stalin died, but freedom did not returned.

Did the USSR not try and make things better dollowing Stalin's death
Depends what u consider being better.

did the USSR not invade you when you left the Union?
USSR sure would have invaded us if we would try to leave the Union before 'perestroika' and the events of late 80'ies.

I can understand you wanting to tear down a Statue of Lenin or Stalin. But these were soldiers who fought and Died in the Greatest War ever.
Statue will be simply moved to graveyard where the other died soldiers are.

Stalin died, but freedom did not returned.

Did the Purges not end, could the people atleast sleep any better at night

Depends what u consider being better.

Attempts at Modernization, feeding the people, bringing in new Technologies and trying to inspire the people by letting them know they were part of something great (I mean, such as when Sputnik and the first human went to Space) We also brought full rights for women to the country and equiality which was far ahead of its time

Perhaps, but they still could have invaded you. They let you out with no real bloodshed.

Statue will be simply moved to graveyard where the other died soldiers are

True. But really what is the signifigant diffrence between its current location and the new one. They should atleast realize that moving it would cause such an uproar from the Russian Population.

U can sleep well in prison cell too, but it is sure better to be free ;)

As i have read, Baltic states would have achieved much better results if they would remain indepedant and not locked in behind the "iron curtain".

Every empire has it's rise and it's fall. This is nothing extraordinary. But the damage was done through these years of occupations was large. Not only too state itself, but also to people minds.

The new location is not in the city center and would not cause any problems as in last year.

According to you people went to the statue, got drunk and stuff...

People drunk in a graveyard, Im sure that wont cause any damage, Id sure be happy knowing that some drunk could be takin a piss on my mothers grave.

If The Statue is moved atleast do it somewhere with less impact if Vandalized.

Nothing but propaganda. Did the Estonians ask for any of this? No, they wanted freedom.

Surely this does not excuse the vandalism and civil unrest perpetrated by Russian hooligans.

True.

But the government can not move it anywhere else saying that "Russians are drunkards, so we will move their monument to some special "graveyard""
U sure now what reaction would follow

So the least evil must be taken in this case.

But i suppose the monument will still have some bit 'special' place, not in the middle of other graves, just for practical reasons ;)
