hi, I just wan't to mention that we have OOS in round 69 with Patch H, we didn't OOS yesterday (~300) with patch G
 
I like the interface changes!

And that annoying "catch" in the GUI I'd previously seen is gone.
 
Just installed the patch (vista, fully patched FfH2 .33 G, & BTS 1.17) and now I can't start a game at all. I can get into the program, select my team, and get as far as the game initiation screen and it crashes while putting the game together.

Only things I can think of are that I had sicons or partia installed (was working fine with the last patch, but doesn't show up on the selectable civs now) and also the Jotnar mod installed. I haven't been running the jotnar mod though (have modual loading set to 0 in my ini file) since it wasn't set to run with FF .42 and it wasn't causing me any problems. I can still run plain FfH2.33 so it must be something with FF.42

Does anyone have any suggestions other than deleling my FF file and re-installing?

Oh, and nice color design on the small amount of the UI I could see, the organges make for a nice rich visual feel.

Never mind! just fixed it by updating the patch for sicons of partia. Sorry to waste your time

Hopefully it was a connection issue. If they become constant/regular make sure to let us know, and include any details you can about the gamestate at the time.

Unfortunately the best guess I can make is that there is an issue with one of the files they modified and we have not. If it refers to something that was overwritten, then thigns go bad quick. I do know from accidentally installing the patch to the wrong directory myself that the patch is playable without the base 042 or even a copy from FfH 2033 (though I am sure an issue would have eventually arisen).
 
The graphical effect from building the Dies Diei really doesn't look right, imho. It doesn't look like a revealing light at all, but like a ugly yellow haze that ruins the colors of almost everything.
 
lizard scout does not show promotions from combat and exp after you have him promoted. promoting is very messy itself too...
 
a suggestion for the next version: flavourmod-wise, the mazatl should really start near mount kashekk imho. ;)

one minor issue: divided souls spawned by the sidar's hunter replacement don't seem to have the button for "auto-explore" , which makes them a pain to micromanage.

Not sure what changes have been made to SelectionGroups - Xien, did you say you were trying to allow groups that were partially blinded/charmed to split and reform as appropriate?

Bit of an elusive one here. Similar to a problem the base FfH had with Forests and promoting for a brief time - we've been trying to track it down. On the plus side, it's somewhat rare and only requires you to select a different unit and then click back - still very irritating though.

Have you got a save for this specific instance?

I have the same problem, I was hoping patch H would fix my earlier problem. But yeah, now I can't even start up a game.
 
Yeah that CtD is repeatable for me as well, and due to my "cure" for the AI stopping their entire stack when immobilized.


Turns out that the method I used is only used in one other place in all of the code: In Unit Death. It clears the unit from any group (thus assigning it to a group of just itself), then tells it not to lead the new group (so it is now in a leaderless group).

So anytime that the newly non-grouped, non-lead unit is active, Crash.


On the upside, it did clear up the issue with the AI freezing their entire stack :) They killed my test Ratha before getting to the turn of the one Orc I froze and crashing my game. I have it fixed for the next patch, till then, don't use any spells with a delay timer, or select event options which immobilize a unit. (or cast an Immobilizing spell obviously)

EDIT: Fixed (non-crashing) version has the AI managing to split their stacks and attack appropriately)
 
spiritual trait is giving a 200% bonus to pagan temple production. I assume it is supposed to be a 100% bonus.

I agree... I need to turn this off-- I feel like I'm polluted or something! It's enough to make me change civs-- how do I turn it off? Is it just me that doesn't like this?

oh just so I don't sound ungrateful-- I love everything else I'm seeing but I've been trying the Elohim out again since they've been changed-- those changes in particular I adore, Vehem do you plan to give them any other bonuses for other unique landmarks? I know you may feel it's overpowered but it's very rare to get more than one or two that make a difference in a game- it would be nice if more gave even a minor bonus for reaching them/having them within cultural borders... since you made these changes I regularly use Devouts to explore the world and find the sacred places :)

well, we overcame the round 69 oos with save and load, BUT after playing till ~ 230 and saving, we tried to continue today, but it OOSed within 5 rounds from load, no save/load magic


we're using a openVPN connection which proofed to be ultra-stable over the years :)

I agree... I need to turn this off-- I feel like I'm polluted or something! It's enough to make me change civs-- how do I turn it off? Is it just me that doesn't like this?

Any more feedback on the Glow/Shadow effects? Not looking too popular so far so I'm considering turning them off in the next patch (until we have chance to rework them a little), but I'd like to hear a few more opinions before doing so...

Haven't played FF since long, Vehem. But judging from the Screenies it looks really bad.
