They were the Christ killers and worthy of good old fashioned Catholic hatred for many hundreds of years.:sigh:
And why is it no-one likes Jewish people again?
I seem to have forgotten.
Is it their habit of winning Nobel prizes?

It's an impoverished soul that takes greater offence at scuffling than at calls for genocide.Depends on what you're looking at. In terms of ideology, no, the right is clearly worse in my opinion, especially the group of the right that we saw on this specific protest, as many of them see to indeed be Nazis, or at least heavily racist people with fascist tendencies.
In terms of "who started the fights" though, yeah, the extremists of the left certainly have a worse track record than those on the right.
"Catholic" seems a puzzling qualifier, here, given that the Orthodox and Protestant churches have supplied some of history's most enthusiastic Jew-haters.They were the Christ killers and worthy of good old fashioned Catholic hatred for many hundreds of years.
In the beginning...there was one church. I do agree that both Orthodox and Protestant churches turned against the Jews in big ways. I would suggest that they learned that from the original mother church which I have labeled "Catholic". I would be happy to change my post to read:"Catholic" seems a puzzling qualifier, here, given that the Orthodox and Protestant churches have supplied some of history's most enthusiastic Jew-haters.

Specifically anti-Jewish sentiment is relatively new in the Muslim world. Historically, they were lumped in with Christians and other non-believing monotheists, and generally fared a little better than Christians because they weren't singled out as the proxy or scapegoat of foreign or invading powers.Muslims weren't big fans of Jews either, last time I checked.
If nothing else, it does leave all their rhetoric about "white genocide" and "white lives matter" ringing very hollow. You can't credibly claim to be the defenders of white America when you spend your time killing and maiming white Americans.Am I the only one relieved the person killed was a white person instead of a black person? No death is good of course, but I think this is a better outcome.
Sounds incredibly racist to me, but you're surely not the the only one thinking that way!Am I the only one relieved the person killed was a white person instead of a black person?
I know why people hated them in medieval times but I honestly couldn't explain why its persisted.:sigh:

Nope. It was the Italians who crucified Christ. They were the Christ killers and worthy of good old fashioned Catholic hatred for many hundreds of years.
this has to be the most naive thing i've seen someone post on this forum. do you even know what nazis espouse?Depends on what you're looking at. Jews are the eternal liberals who temper and allow fascist governments to prosper.
Take away the liberal factor and all you have left are warmongering fascist.
Christians are your socialistic left until in power, and then they switch to right leaning fascist.
The reason why A Christian would despise socialism or liberalism in any form is the humanistic fear of not being in control of one's own existence.

On statues of Robert E. Lee: what would we think if German towns put up statues of Erwin Rommel, also a good general serving a vile cause?

Of 85 deadly US terror attacks since 9/11, far-right-wing extremists were responsible for 62, Islamic extremists 23.

Far right extremist groups committed ~73% of deadly terrorist incidents since September 12, 2001. http://j.mp/2pHGFWC #Charlottesviille
See, here's the problem. There are in fact fascist movements active in the US and killing Americans. But the Republicans will do nothing about it, because the Republicans need their votes. And far too many Republicans, starting with Trump, are on their side.
I'm here.Where are the people who hold balanced views?
The problem with the "anti"-racists or "anti"-facists is that they are completely racist. And that is the reason no one listens to them. I have never seen them hold an antiracism demonstration against Isis. In fact, they even try to downplay the ethnic cleanings, slave markets & terror attacks. What I do have seen them display is conspiracy theories, diversion or even overt happiness about 9/11 or similar attacks.
Where are the people who hold balanced views? Where are the guys who say: Sure, Isis is racist, we should hold an antiracism demonstration against them? You simply won't find them. Their antiracism or women's rights demonstrations are selectively and solely directed against western countries. They never criticize anyone else. It is directed against Israel, not Hamas, against America, not Isis, against Europe, not Erdogan.
The problem is that they are not honest. They don't care about racism, or women's rights or facism. They never did. In fact, they are perfectly fine with it & even support it - as long as it is directed against western, "capitalist" countries.
