I had a nice, wonderful OP written out, but my computer is stupid and LOST IT  so this one is short and sweet. Post your five favorite movie or musical themes, maybe explain why, and be sure to link to them so we can hear them too!

Here are mine:

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991)

Well rather than post the popular ones that will be repeated 900 times I am going to have to say:

The Fifth Element, all around fantastic soundtrack, in fact, the only soundtrack I have purchased besides:

Starship Troopers. You should see me when my wife is out of town and I get drunk and hear the Klendathu Drop song

And an honorable mention is Stargate SG1, probably because I have watched it so much recently.

Christ, I have a lot of soundtrack music on my iPod. More than five, but I like a lot of movie music. :p

Of course, I'd put in Star Wars music, specifically the music from this fight scene (Anakin vs. Obi-Wan and Battle of the Heroes) and then of course the Imperial March. In Raiders of the Lost Ark, I liked the Ark theme, perhaps best heard here. Actually, hell, just put me down for "everything John Williams". I also liked basically all of the POTC music; He's A Pirate is awesome (Cheezy gave the link), as is its Tiësto remix; "Barbossa is Hungry" (music from that scene) is pretty good, as is "I Don't Think Now Is the Best Time". "Davy Jones" is probably one of my favorite songs off of the Dead Man's Chest soundtrack, along with "Wheel of Fortune". Then I like "The Mummy Returns" from Alan Silvestri's soundtrack of the same name. And then, of course, it wouldn't be complete without John Barry's James Bond theme.

Well, the Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones and Star Wars themes have already been posted, I think. But a theme I really like is the Hell March theme song from the first Red Alert game. (Don't worry, the song doesn't really get going until about 30 seconds in) Just hearing that again gets me pumped up. :)

My favorite film/TV soundtracks/themes:
"The Young Ones" (80s TV show) has a lot of good music, and a cool ending tune (I forget the correct terminology)
"Romper Stomper" - lots of Oi! and stuff
"One Flew Over the Cookoos(SP?) Nest" has pretty cool soundtrack, IIRC
"Pulp Fiction" also has an awesome soundtrack
From what I remember, "This Is England" had a decent soundtrack, too.

A Clockwork Orange
And this one! I have 3 copies of the soundtrack to "A Clockwork Orange"! I listen to it more regularly than the others, too!

Well, those are the soundtracks and stuff I remember being good, anyway.
