Favourite civ game

Ooh, now this is a historical match. The Sassanids (and other Persian empires too) are cool, but the Byzantines are one of my favourite civs.

Persia vs Byzantium:

The zoroastrian Persians and the christian Byzantines fight for the control of the late classical world. (Unaware of a small southern tribe power that will change the route of religion, history and economy.)

The most influencial empire of ancient era vs the legentary Constantinopole's empire.

UU:
Immortal vs cataphract:
less cost, +100% attack against archers vs earlier availability, -1:strength:, +25% vs melee units. Cataphract would won if it had full strength, immortal wins. This loss in strength make the cataphract more a kind of weakness, that power.

UB:
Apothecary vs hippodrome:
+2:health: vs +1:), horse instead of dye, double :) from %:culture:
Hippodrome can be more powerful, so it wins.

UP:
Satrapy vs metropolis:
No unstability from foreign cores vs collapse immunity:
Satrapy gives a stability advantage, so it wins.

1st goal:
Persian empire vs 5000:gold::
Persian empire wins. Empire building is always worthwhile. Gold aquiring is always dull (with the exception of Mali, which really needs special attention).

2nd goal:
The 7 world wonders vs Constantinopolis:
Wonder building beats the city building.

3rd goal:
Two holy city shrines vs Byzantine empire:
Byzantine empire wins.

Persia: 4
Byzantium: 2

So the Sassanid dynasty wins.

P.S: The first byzantine goal should be "Control Hagia Sophia."

Persia

Byzantium (3000BC)

@citis: actually I got quite annoyed with the Hippodrome, as it lacks the artist slots from the theater. And this for a civ that has a culture goal. In the 3000BC-scenario culture can really become a problem (one of "your" Greek cities, the Egyptian Capitol, a Chinese city...)

Still, Byzantium is fun, strong and interesting as that you often have to fight invaders/on your own soil instead of expanding. Persia might be more fun with the promised stability-update, at the moment I fear too much of a Greece-moment playing them (getting - XX stability close to the beginning)

Meow?

Spoiler :
unless sassanid Persia is added to 600AD

I would like to see it! :D

@Chep:

I din't noticed. Then the UB result may be the opposite, :gp: gaining is essencial. I really like Byzantines, but I think that they need more work. I'll move the discussion in the suggestions thread.
