FfH2 Bug Thread

Looks like the new 3.19 system requires you use CvPlayer::trigger to set off a full event trigger (player gets a popup with choices), and possibly CvPlayer::applyEvent to set off a single event (player gets no choice, just hijacking the event system. Though that isn't required anymore as we can send MP data without using events at this point)

Aah. Since in normal game with the "no espionage" option checked, espionage buildings which produce espionage produce culture instead, Firaxis doubled the culture requirements when that option is on. Unfortunately, it has also affected FfH. Since in FfH there are no espionage-producing buildings by default, the culture levels are definitely in need to be fixed.
This can be solved by adding
Code:
    <Define>
        <DefineName>NO_ESPIONAGE_CULTURE_LEVEL_MODIFIER</DefineName>
        <iDefineIntVal>0</iDefineIntVal>
    </Define>
to GlobaldefinesAlt.xml

Python Exception:sad:

I encountered a bug on the last patched game :
Last 3.19 official patch + Patch "b" + media pack
The map was normal size, continental
I tried twice to take the kuriostate civ, aiming for a cultural victory.
Each time the same bug appear : I was proposed to change the civ trait(adaptative), and chose the creative one... and then... uh nothing. Despite my choice, I kept the accessible and philosophical ones. (the default ones)

Has anybody encountered this bug ?
I hope my contribution will be useful.

Same here. Definitely a bug.

Python Exceptions.

I guess that all/most off these PEs are connected to the same bug.

I have also noticed that in my last three games (played up to around turn 400-500 normal time) Thessa has been one of the AI civs and she doesn't do much teching (what I can see), no religion, no hunting, no bronze, not much at all actually. Sure one time is no time but three games in a row (all tect. map) is perhaps some oddities in her behaviour. She survived the games because I gave her some necessery techs (more fun that way, and she never was near 'my' continent anyway).

Edit: And there are more if these signs comming up, all related to traits and trait changing, with different numbers. I don't upload those screenshots since I guess you have got the picture (and as I said, that these PYs are all connected to the same issue).

Playing .40y, and eyes and ears network has not given me any free technologies, (waited until turn after it was built), even though most civs have rage and blasting powder and a few other techs I do not.

In order to get a tech from The Eyes and Ears Network you must have open borders with three civs that have a tech that you do not have. You will not get any particular tech if you have open borders with fewer than three civs, or if less than three of the civs that you have open borders with have that tech.

Wierd, thanks. That saved my game... that I had about 50 hours into, and was about to quit. (open borders... hope that makes it to the civilopedia)

.40 is kinda ... a while ago

Another thing I noticed since 3.19, there is no partial damage on units, both during combat and afterwards. As soon as you see one of your three warriors fall, you know the combat is lost. And if no one falls for a while, there's going to be a retreat.

It's only a graphical bug.

i have a little question concerning tolerant trait. Is it normal that vampires obtained through this trait can't feast ?

Yes.

I found a map bug and a gameplay bug:

I found a mirror of heaven in the middle of a mountain range. How are you supposed to use that sun mana???

Also I used the 'rites of oghma' ritual and ALL MY ALLY CONVERTED TO THE ASHEN VEIL AND EVERYBODY DECLARED WAR ON ME EXCEPT ONE! I actually went to worldbuilder and corrected this. I didn't see anything about that in the civilopedia. If that was supposed to happen, could you have the next patch have a little red flag or something? All I ask is a warning for that.

Pardon me if you don't think this is accurate. I don't know how to take screenshots.

Anyone getting heavy blights lately?

I got hit by blight. 39 :yuck: (when i noticed something was odd) in a city with 10 pop. Cities reduced to 1 soon after and stayed there for many many turns. As far as I could tell it was only Blight and not the pestilence thingie combo.

I have the same problem.

I play Sheaim and all of my cities too have been reduced to 1, and in every city startvation is atleast 10 food! (blight :yuck:s range from -17 to -33) and strangely enough the blight does not seem to have effect on anybody else. Everybody elses cities are normal sized. Infact Demographics says it all:

My cities have 44000 population total, whereas for the rivals best is 14M, average 3,5M. Best cities shows cities of 11+ pop (biggest is Malakin city with 17 pop).

I have ffh 0.41b and BTS 3.19

Pardon me if you don't think this is accurate. I don't know how to take screenshots.

You can take a screenshot by pressing the [Print Screen] key on your keyboard. Some keyboards abbreviate the name. The screenshot will appear as a .JPG file in your Civ4 screenshots directory. There is a shortcut called _Civ4ScreenShots in your [PATH]\Beyond the Sword folder that will take you to the screenshots folder (where [PATH] is the path to your install of Civ4).

However, posting a screenshot would be less helpful than posting a save of the game shortly before you completed Rites of Oghma. Knowing what version of the Mod this happened in is also important.

(And btw no that's not supposed to happen.)

well I had compact enforced, no barbarians and gifts of whatserface the god ( thats the one that doubles bonuses.)

I got to 79 bad health from the blight once! This was before patch b.

Best wishes,
