OK, here's the updated summons list:

FFIII: Ifrit produced by ? SW requiring ? tech to produce it... Using Aaglo's Lava Giant for Ifrit unit.

FF IV (Baron): Odin, Produced by as yet to be determined SW the tech for which also needs to be named. Using Kinboat's Black Pegasus rider for Odin.

FF V (Tycoon): Phoenix, produced by ? SW requiring ? tech to build.

FF VI (Vector Emprie and Returner Alliance): Undetermeined summon produced by the Esper Statues SW which requires the Magicite unique tech.
May use Aaglo's Horned Rat or somesuch for Maudin, unless there's something out there already that fits the other Espers from FF VI... Need to find something for the Magicite/Esper unique tech icons....

FF VII (Shinra): Produces a Sephiroth Clone (Shiro's One-Winged Angel) from a Jenova Project SW which requires the Shinra SOLDIER Program unique tech.
Status: pic for Shinra SOLDIER Program found, will likely use a SS of the Mt. Niebel reactor for the BLDG and pedia icons and a groovy full-front ss of Jenova's containment cell for the Jenova Project SW...

FF VII (AVALANCHE): Bahamut Zero (Kinboat's Black Dragon) produced from a Huge Materia SW that requires the Unique tech Summon Materia.

FF VIII (Galbadia, Garden and Esthar): Leviathan (Orthanc's Asian Dragon) produced by a Garden SW requiring the unique tech Guardian Forces.

FF IX (Lindblum and Alexandria): a Ramuh summon (made by yours truly) is produced by a SW called the Eidolon Wall which requires the Eidolons unique tech.

FF X (Al Bhed and Yevon): Most likely a Yojimbo (Kinboat's Kensai) summon produced by a Temple of the Fayth (or something like that) SW, which requires the Farplance unique tech.

FF XI (Bastok, Selbina, San d'Oria, and Windhurst): Most likely a Garuda summon (Aaglo's Keeper of the secrets) produced by a yet to be named SW requiring a unique tech called Avatars

FF XII, Tactics and Tactics Advanced (Archades, Dalmasca, Lesalia and Bervenia): A summoned unit called Ultima (Kinboat's female angel) will be produced by a SW called The Zodiac Stones which requires a tech called Totemas (that way I can kind of tie the Zodiac Braves/Totemas/Espers from the three World of Ivalice games together, since most of the Zodiac Braves (including Ultima) also appear as Totemas in Tactics: Advanced and Espers in XII): Pic for "Totema" tech obtained, using Kinboat's female angel....

FF CC: Carbuncle, which will be produced by? requireing ? tech

I think I've decided upon "Orcish Lore" for the tech for the Orcs, which is available from LMR's WH tech pack, which will allow a SW called "Standing Stones" or "Shaman's Hut" that produces Titan or stone Elemental every 5 turns...

Dwarves, as mentioned earlier will have Dwarf Lore as the tech (have LMR's icons), which allows a "Hall of the Mountain King" SW that produces a Dwarf Lord (Aaglo's Rune Smith) every 5 turns.

Still need help finding images to use for techs and/or names for techs with ?

Hmm... Definitely have a use for a few of those... That Esper one will be perfect for the FF VI Espers, The Recruit Odin one for FF IV... I actually like your Makou Energy icons better than the ones I made a long time ago, so That will be replacing the old ones, and your materia icons would work better for my "magitek" tech (Basically, for all intents and purposes, I have Magicite and Materia listed as the same resource, since, for all practical purposes, they are the same and used almost interchangeably; i.e. magical crystals in FFT are called materia, but they are called magicite in FF XII).

I'm actually makin the SW graphics for the Esper Statues off that same screenshot you're using (I'm just removing the background for the building icons and replacing it with Civ III grass for the pedia icons)....

Still have a ways to go, but moving right along now... Once I get the techs set, I'll focus on the buildings, and once the buildings are set, I'll finish up the units (mostly by using any old placeholder I can find).....

I guess nobody's interested in whether or not I release any of this stuff separate from the mod.....

Anyways, here's how the techlist stands:

FFIII: Ifrit produced by ? SW requiring ? tech to produce it... Using Aaglo's Lava Giant for Ifrit unit.

As you can see, the tech tree is ALMOST knocked out... then comes the buildings (not too difficult), followed by the last, pesky units (mostly placeholders just so I can get this thing out the door).
 
I'd still say that the Balrog looks more Ifrit like mtself :)

And please do release some of the stuff seperately! It's some lovely work! :D
 
Uh, forgot to edit that bit about Ifrit, eheh, heh! I mentioned about 3 posts back that I WILL be using the balrog.

Anyways, I'll release my tech icons, however, I've got a few updates to make to my update:

First of all, even though I don't know what to call some of the techs, I now have pics for all of them:

The ones that I've added are:

Second to last row: Elementals, (need name for FF IV odin summon tech), Guardian Forces, Eidolons

Bottom Row: Aeons, Avatars, (need name for FF CC Carbuncle summon tech).

I've uploaded them into the database, and will be posting a thread soon.

I'll post the buildings when I get them finished....
 
Odin's attack was called ZanTetsuKen (斬鉄剣) lit: "Beheading Steel Sword"

Still, I need some more background info on FF IV odin before I can set his tech down good.... I think I can get away with Elementals for the FF III tech, since, IIRC, they had a "Fire Shrine" or something like that, which I could use for the Ifrit generating SW.... IIRC, someone once told me that Odin was found in the dungeon of Baron castle or somesuch, but I need to verify that......

Oh, and I'll be using Terrato (the giant snake) for FF VI's esper summoned creature, since I already have Kinboat's giant cobra, which looks pretty much like Terrato.
 
Are you basing the design of the Irfit on the old 3 or the new 3? :) Either way, whatever you go for it's going to be a great mod! :D

Not too awfully much longer: I've got the tech tree set (need to finish up assigning the icons and writing rudimentary pedia entries for the techs).

Next on my list of things to complete will be adding all the Summoned creature Small wonders, Alignment-specific small wonders (Good = "Adventurer's guild or "Þe Olde Inne" that acts as Pentagon/Generates Hero Parties (see the Munits folder), Neutral = "Mercenary Guild" which acts as Pentagon/generates Mercenary Armies (I'm going to be making an Munit for that soon, but currently am using the Asian Munit that was made a good while back), and Evil = "The Great Horde" which acts as Pentagon/generates Barbarian Hordes (Kinboat's Golden Horde unit)), and a few other alignment specific buildings/wonders (i.e. Good gets a GW called "Aeris' Church" (which is already implemented) that makes 2 people happy in every city, improvement called "Cetra Shrine", which has 0 maintainance cost and makes 2 people happy, since good civ's best government, Democracy, has WW and no military police, Neutral civs get a wonder called "the Myrrh Caravans" which puts a marketplace in each town as well as an improvement called a "Myrrh Tree" which generates additional wealth, since Constitutional Monarcy, Neutral Civs' best government has no trade bonus, and evil civs get Sorceror's Towers, which produce Death Mages, since they can't build regular mage towers, A Chaos Shrine GW that makes people in all cities happy, but not as many as Aeris' Church, Temples of Yevon, which have the same happiness traits as churches, but also double "Fayth Conversion" (sacrifice) because the victims are being turned into fayths for powering summons and what-not).

After these buildings are set, all that's needed is to add any remaining units, and then I'll release the Beta version.

I should have that out BEFORE the 4-year anniversary of this mod's start (April, 2004)....

The Small Wonder could be called "The Fire Shrine" or "Altar of Flames", I made the second one up. :mischief:

In FFIV summoners were named "Callers", so the tech could be called "Calling" or maybe you could have it be something to do with the Land of Summoned Monsters. You get Odin late in the game when you find the ghost of the King of Baron in the basement of the castle and battle him. Anyway here's a video walkthrough that shows the encounter with Odin.

This is from the FF Wikia about the King of Baron:

"The King of Baron once found an infant under a tree just outside Baron . As the infant reminded him of Cecilia, he named the infant Cecil. He raised Cecil to be a Dark Knight. He also wanted Kain to be raised as a Dark Knight, however, Kain wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and become a Dragoon. He eventually made Cecil the captain of the Red Wings due to his loyalty to the Crown. However, eventually Caignazzo, the Fiend of Water, secretly killed the king and became an impostor king. Once Caignazzo is defeated, Cecil can meet the king, who reveals himself to be the Dark Knight Odin. If Rydia has gone to the Land of Monsters, he will test her by battling her. If Rydia wins, Odin will answer her summons."

EDIT: "Summoning Pacts" is a good name for the FFIV summoning tech.

Well, I've never played FFXI one of the few ones I haven't played, but I did a little searching around and the name of the quest where you get the Garuda summon is call the "Trial of Wind." You may have to use a little imagination on this one.

That probably should help. :)
