First G+K DLC - Name it!

What seems to be the next most likely DLC items?

I pointed that out, yeah. That doesn't mean they were all that significant.

Which completely negates all of Canada's achievements I guess, lol.
The way you phrased your last comment it sounded the other way around. Canada would be an interesting choice, but in my opinion there are many other countries that deserve to be in the game more. I already listed them and gave my reasons.

I agree about Israel, it would be nice to see them as well. I would have proposed the Avars, but I think the Huns and Mongolia cover that gameplay area nicely. The Khazars, Thailand, Kush and Assyria would be nice additions as well. I don't see Brazil in the game, not with Portugal being an obvious candidate. The Minoans I guess have been covered by the Greeks.

There's few Civs that I would love to see included
A Native American Civ (like Sitting Bull in Civ 4)
Portugal
Khmer
Zulu
Tibet
Inuit
Poland.

But we already have a Native American civ. It wouldn't make sense to have a Native American civ and the Iriquois in the same game!

I would love to see Tibet, but I think that might lead to an international scandal. That subject is very... Let's just say I don't think Firaxis want to go there.

Oh, Kingdom of Zimbabwe! yeah, want them in the game too.

I hope at least for these civs, as they've featured in Civ before:
Zulu, Sioux, Portugal, Sumeria, HRE, Khmer, Mali and the Hittites.
Would like that :)

It's possible to argue for the inclusion of pretty much every civ mentioned in this thread, but comparing the achievements of Canada unfavourably to those of the Zulu is simply, absolutely absurd on its face.

Well if we go by the title and speculate about DLC, not wish listing, I am sure it will be some countries, like they did with Civ V. I am thinking maybe one more expansion like G&K, maybe concentrate more on the future, like Call to Power 2 has done.

Maybe have a feature when a country goes big enough, and unhappiness, have some civil wars going on. (oops, wish listing sorry).

Since G&K is what Civ V should have been on release, as I said, I think we will have some small DLC again and maybe one more Final expansion wich will be the REAL expansion that will actually add something new to the Civ Genre instead of regurgitating what has been done untill now.

The religion system is hardly a regurgitation. It's fundamentally different form religion in civ 4. Agreed about espionage basically being a regurgitation though.

Before its destruction by England the Zulu Empire was the dominant force in the whole of Southern Africa, and the worst military defeat England has ever suffered at the hands of an African Nation was in fact the Battle of Isandlwana, with the Zulu killing over 1000 British soldiers in one day. They have also been in every Civ game to date. So, I repeat myself, I do believe the Zulu deserve to be in the game more than Canada. It may sound absurd to you, but that doesn't mean everybody has to share your opinion.

my guess is the next EXPANSION pack will have a strong focus on the industrial/modern era. Why do I say this? In vanilla civ V, the opening sequence potrayed an upstart civ in the ancient era (and some scenes of midevil/classical). In G@K, the opening features the same civ (same leader guy), in the late midevil-renaissance era. Most of the fundamental changes to G@K take place in the rennasaince. You should get the idea.

Now what fundamental changes would be introuduced in such an expansion? My guess would be this expansion would cover things such as Colonies, Imperialism, Revolutions/Independence, random events, democracy, capitalism, tourism, and a very intense focus on world wars.

Their will probably be the Civil war scenario which was left out of G@K. This expansion will probably feature a WW1 and WW2 campaign, which is much more in depth and long than previous scenarios. (One can only hope..)

New Civs could include:
-Portugal
-Zulu/Zimbabwe
-Poland
-Italy
-Isreal/palestine
-Indonesia or malaysia
-Vietnam
-Belgium
-Romania
-Cherokee
-Others.

This scenario may also feature different leaders for civs over time. For example, Washington in the rennasaince, Lincoln in the Industrial, FDR in the modern, JFK in the atomic, ect. Each leader may have their own small bonus, and AI flavour.

I want Canada as a DLC <.<

Call me Biased, the game has much less significant Civs, Civs that are basically just historical characters (The Huns) and Civs that are about as old if not younger. <.<

I'd like to see a Portuguese DLC, with a scenario covering South America during the period of colonisation. Native Americans and European civilisations would feature obviously.

Alternatively a Zulu DLC and African colonisation would be good.

OK heres what I expect based on more realistic expectations than on hope lol.

1st - American Civil War Scenario + Sioux/Sitting Bull Civ DLC: based on files found in G+K and the mistake about 4 scenarios initially on the official website (which was later changed to 3 I think) and the fact that I've expected another native american Civ and Sitting Bull and the Sioux have been represented in other Civ games in one form or another.

2nd - Zulu/Shaka Civ (+ maybe a Boer/Zulu/British War Scenario IDK): is probably more based on speculation and what is a popular request but also on the fact they have been in every other civ game and there is currently no Southern African representation.

As for other likely possibilities:

Portugal - because they have been in a civ game before and are relatively historically significant.
Sumaria or Hittites: Last 2 fairly significant Mesopotamian Civs not included and Sumeria/Gilgamesh was in previous civ.

After that I don't know...

Why does everyone want the zulu? Just because a civ was in previous civ game doesn't mean it should be in another. I thing the Scythians, Hittittes, or maybe even the Mitanni.

while im all for seeing zulu'z i think seeing a different group like the quote above me said would be new and interesting.

No worries, sorry for being short I was in a combative mode (see above - speaking of which I'd like to apologize to Andulias for calling him intellectually dishonest. That was unfair of me.)

Romania as a Civ please :).
When became Romania a unfied nation?
Not until 1881.
I may not be a specialist in Romanian history, but I think that I speak for everyone if say that many nations deserve to be in the game before Romania.
And it was not so influental, important or great as other European nations as Poland and Bulgaria.
Maybe a large DLC of South East Asia which adds Burma,Indonesia,Vietnam and Khmer (or some of these) as a civ, with a scenario and some new wonders (Borobudur,Shwedagon Paya...)
