Can we manually decide which threads to watch? Because I don't want to watch - and thus, get an alert from - every thread I ever post in.

Is there a way to sort your subscriptions (or 'watched threads' as they are called now) in a folder like in the old forum?

Like what you've done with the place ;)

Just for anyone that used embedded youtube videos, the
Link to video. needs to be changed to

{media=youtube}XYZ{/media}
Changed brackets for display purposes.

Time to fix some links!

If you have it set to auto-subscribe you can turn that off in the 'Preferences' section of your Profile.

Once you have that turned off, you can manually watch a thread by clicking 'Watch Thread' (it's in the top-right hand corner, just above the first post on a page)

EDIT: Does anyone know how to change it so that things you post on other people's walls don't show up on the 'New Profile Posts' section of the main forum index? I just put a thing on Vincour's wall and now it's visible on the front page of the forum which was... not my intention o_O

But the thing is, it doesn't differentiate between 'threads that I create' and 'threads where I post in'. That is a rather large difference... But, I suppose I can manually watch the former. Thank you. :)

EDIT: ... Can I mass-unwatch everything? Because otherwise this isn't really feasible.

Have one bit of feed back on the new forum (well, besides how ugly my avatar looks now..lol...not that it wasn't always). I realize this just went up, and some things may change (or not) regardless of my suggestion. While a somewhat small issue, since not related to functionality, I see a similar issue here that Parodox had when the migrated to a new service a year or so ago. Basically, I think there's a bit too much going on with the visuals. It's not pleasing. I like that the Stickies stand out a bit but the color scheme is a bit too much and should be toned down a bit. (The color in the stickies "reply" column is gawd awful and completely unnecessary)

The thing that should stand out the most and be easy to read is thread titles. Right now it is not easy on the eyes.

In addition, the mini-avatar tags on the left, denoting threads you've posted in are a bit too large in my opinion. With the large avatars on the left and mini-tags it's a lot of colors and visuals going on. It gives that eye to much stimuli when all the eye really wants to do is read thread titles. Personally, I could do without all the avatar stuff there, but realize that probably won't change. (New Paradox forums had that too as well as some other not so pleasant things that were eventually either removed or reduced...but at least their color scheme is more pleasant than this one)

Also, I'd be interested to know if we will get other color schemes to choose from like the old forums.

Please check the OP:
PS: We will put back all the old smilies...
PS2: Right now we only have one forum style and it's work in progress... We will add more styles in the future for sure.
PS3: New forum software is mobile friendly!

Forum Moderators and other staff are not showing as being such in their avatars.

One would think it would be obvious when you have to take moderator-actions, but I think this is gonna confuse new members until it is sorted out. All they'll see is some rando person adding comments that seem mean or whatever and not necessarily realize you as User X are the forum moderator or other staff taking the forum-moderator actions. This could ensue in 'demerits' in oddball corner cases where it is really unfair to apply such.

EDIT: ... Can I mass-unwatch everything? Because otherwise this isn't really feasible.

Looks like Forums -> Watch Threads -> Manage Watched Threads gives you the option to mass-unwatch all threads if you want.

EDIT: agreed about differentiating between 'threads you start' and 'threads you reply to', it would be nice to be able to watch one and not the other. I can't see an easy way of doing it.

See! I missed that part because me eyes be hurtin' (would use mischievous emote here)

Well, ya'll can just take as a suggestion regardless.

But hey, the forum seems to be running much more smoothly...for sure

Yes, thank you. We are aware of it and hope for a fix soon. There are more important fixes needed atm.

Thanks for the suggestion.

There is much going on atm. TF is working on it. Patience is the word for now.

I will be greatly miss good old VB. Xenoforo is a lagging modern Moderator Action: <<SNIP>> with benefits which are not important for me. Seriously, as I type this message letters appears with certain LAG and my CPU core is loaded on maximum. Curse this Moderator Action: <<SNIP>> ... :((

Can we have old forums as archive in read-only mode? Please.

Moderator Action: Please help us keep the forum family friendly. Removed inappropriate language.

Guess the autocensor is broken :D.

In case it wasn't clear I added a screenshot of where I was to make the changes to my signature.

Ah, okay.

EDIT: Seems I got now the "trophy" that someone liked my post. So not broken.
