Did you not see the board in the middle frame? That said, if the board is that full, the other guy isn't that good either.

It's badly done. You can clearly see the Pirate's board in the last panel, and it has barely any pegs. 1/10. They should at least try to be consistent.

I've sometimes played with a rule called salvo, where you get as many shots as you have surviving ships. If the Pirate's playing handicapped, that gives the stormtrooper four extra shots at the start of the game. Based on what we see of the Pirate's attack board, a generous estimate would give the Stormtrooper at least 63 shots by this stage of the game. So it's a stretch, but not entirely implausible.
