"This is our final stand. I have a nephew in Thebes down the road, and he told terrible stories about cannons besieging the city. Are you sure we have our priorities right?"

"YES! The human is known for dangerous naval invasions, and I want to make sure our coast is safe. You can guard the walls. I mean, the fence out front."

Well obviously they're playing the long game and intend to eventually upgrade that Caravel to a Submarine. Then they can go under the ice and definitely defend the coast from... undersea ice attacks?

Similarly, I was recently messing around with an AI survivor like scenario and saw this display of Russian Naval Power...

Just waiting for global warming and the melting of the icecap, and we're good to go! :D

At least the barb galley is safe.

How does Stalin simultaneously adopting Free Speech and Police State work, even? You have limited freedom in most respects but you can still say whatever you want?

You are free to say whatever you want... in Siberia!

 I was so amused by the navy that I didn't even notice that contradiction. Perhaps it is really "Free State" and "Police Speech" though I hesitate to think what that really would mean.

You can do or say anything, as long as you're a police?

I think the barb galley is triggering the AI to build a frigate to go and kill it. But then the frigate can't get to it, so the AI queues up another frigate. But my initial reaction was "Well, now you know why one of the strategic goals of Russia has been to secure a warm-water port."

You can say whatever you want, but the police can shoot you seven times in the back without repercussions.

He just really, really cares about what his people have to say. So he wants to make sure they feel free to say it AND that his men are there to hear it. All of it. All the time.

Like Google and Amazon. ^^

Crabs and Beavers again, huh? :D

That is a serious amount of Beavers. Imagine if they were food neutral. Would be a great start then.

Not funny, but I like to make up my own stories while playing :mischief:

"What's that rule again? Bears and lions can't cross rivers, right?"
