World War One: The Great War

Movement is like any other RTS game. Camera is like World in Conflict.

There are no unit creation buildings, but you can build fortifications. To get more units, finish objectives, and you get spare units. There is a limited stock of units you may get, however. That limit is increased by finishing missions and finding secret objectives.

Upgrades need merits, merits are obtained by finishing objectives and killing enemies. Upgrades take time to arrive. Kill 30 units for one merit, or finish an objective for two merits. Secret objectives net 3 merits. Upgrades do transfer from one mission to the next. So do merits.

Poison Gas- 15 merits
High-Grade Weaponry- Increased Accuracy (15 merits)
Snipers- One hit kill infantry. (20 merits)

Units:

Universal

Medic- Does first aid, but only to those who have a bullet hole, or some easily removable foreign materials. Anything else will have to be carried to an aid station.

Light Artillery- Uses light rounds, special ability is poison gas, which kills infantry, unless they have gas masks.

Medium Artillery- Uses medium rounds, special ability is heavy smoke round, which conceals anything within, but also limits field of vision.

Heavy Artillery- Use heavy rounds, that can usually flatten a building.

Austria-Hungary

Mannlicher M1895 Rifle Infantry- These infantry use Manual Repeating Rifles that can fire multiple shots.

Austria-Hungarian Cavalry- These cavalry also use Mannlichers M1895s. The horse can panic, so when the rider falls off, they either get up and start fighting, or are wounded.

NOTE: WILL FINISH LATER.

BananaLee was Lavamax Interactive, is that right?

@Luckymoose, i see my game Vision of Gaia will be out this turn. Im happy about that, but im concerned you're not considering it to be as deep and detailed as i want it to be. IE i see the new jet stream game is taking the same amount of time.

If you have read my design and still think it is a 3 pointer then that is great of course :D

And please dont go and make it a 5 pointer because i want to be able to finish it for christmas in any case :D

We request some more any amount of money to speed up the game development to meet the demand by Christmas Season.

From Digi Forge

Here is our proposal:

1, We are providing $2000 this quarter as additionally agreed. This will be provided in any case.

2, We can provide an additional $4000 (for a total of $6000), on the condition that your company aid us in developing new software engines and utilities...

Hayden Games are renowned for their technical and design abilities. We at Digi Forge are looking to increase our own abilities during this quarter. We believe that your company could be a great aid to our in-house research efforts.

We are asking your employees to aid our research efforts, and your company to share some of its existing technical assests with us.

In return, we will share various assets which may be useful to your company also.

In effect it would be a joint technical development project, funded by Digi Forge, with benefits to be shared by both companies...

We agree to to your proposal in aids to technical developments. However, since our Prometheus AI Engine is funded exclusively by Karui Kiba, we are very sorry to say that it cannot be shared without an approval from Miss Aiko Sakurada. Nevertheless, we, Hayden Games, plan to work on a new engine called Hephaestus Physics Engine after the release of Ferret Wars, that, we can settle a deal on.

Sincerely,

Email for Tetris

"I heard Digi Forge was giving us $4,000 to get us to meet the demand for Ferret Wars by Christmas."
"Yes. I wrote a letter to them last week."
"Why the postal? Why not email? That's so much faster."
"Well, I don't read business emails. I make my secretary do it. And I don't expect Sven Landerson do any different."
"You know what?"
"What?"
"I think our role is reversed here."
"Give me a drink. I need some self-justification."
"I'll get Silas right on it."
"Don't be mean."
"Cool, you're back."

Subj: Release of Ferret Wars

Dear Editors:

Hayden Games expect to released the game Ferret Wars on December 14. The attachment on the parcel i-

"Hey, Isaac," said a voice - no, it was Raith; Isaac recognized his voice right away, "What you doin?"

"Drafting a letter to editors at Insert Coins. I'm planning on giving them a copy to get a decent review on the next magazine. Almost everyone who play video games read it."

"I told you about letters," he replied, "They're too slow. You know what? I'll take it to them."

"What about Japan trip?"

"Damn..."

"Don't worry. I won't send this until the game is actually finished. It's a draft afterall."

--------------------------------------------------

They left for the nearby airport late in the afternoon, to catch up with the time zone. If they left at 1:30 AM, they should arrive around 7 or 8 AM in Narita International Airport. From there, they'll catch a cab, an expensive one, Isaac had heard, to Karui Kiba. And they'll make sure to visit Tokyo's largest arcade as well.

The plane ride was long and boring. He watched Pirates of the Carribean about 3 times and Harry Potter about two times. For the last few hours, he tried to get some sleep.

Meanwhile, Raith and Silas were playing some extreme game of Tetris. The game itself was a bore, but it was how they played it. They probably made some ridiculous bet, he thought. It was a wonder how the planes can get so high-tech. Koreans, and it all made sense. Afterall, he was onboard Korean Air 116.

When they arrived at the airport, they were shocked to see that a bowl of ramen costed seven whole dollars. Which was ridiculous to them, who were used to dollar twenty-five cup noodles. Nonetheless, they paid for it; the udon was 8 dollars, and Raith, who insisted on holding all their money, decided to go cheap. And they got on one of the inter-city buses...

At the end of the ride, Raith had a big expression of horror on his face. Silas had to hold him to prevent him from jumping out the window when the bus had stopped at a red light. The price was equivalent to almost 104 dollars... How do people live around here?

Arriving at a cheapest hotel they could find, they checked in and unloaded their luggage. Isaac almost laughed when he saw a hesitant face on Raith who was quite undecided about going to that arcade.

Germ, what did you mean by that?

If not, WWW is finished, but nothign new starting.

Will type up orders soon.

Sven Landerson sat in his 'executive' chair (actually an old plastic and fake leather chair he'd saved from his old company due to sentimental reasons) and flicked through a pile of papers. Lots of money was going out to other companies to ensure that there were enough games for his console. More money was being spent on the in-house project, Vision of Gaia (of which the concept art was decorating much of his office - skeletal warriors, samurai robo dragons, hovertanks duelling with huge gothic steampunk vehicles, and quite a few feisty female characters).

It was an expensive business, but twice as much money was coming in than going out. At least for now.

A worrying figure caught Sven's eye. Market share: 28%. It seemed low. It was 1% ahead of the Phoenix. But still kinda low. The Light Complex had almost half the market.

He called up some files on his desktop. Discussions for a whole new console. Takk was barely a year old, but things moved quick in this business. Sometimes, that is.

A new hi-spec console to match the Light Complex? Or a hi-tech development of the Takk format, taking everything it already does well and doing it better? He hadn't decided. He had the feeling he wouldn't decide for a while yet. Projected costs for any new console project were two times as high as the companies quarterly profit margin...

Someone knocked on the door and entered the room. Some business-like woman from some random department. He didn't know her name. He reminded himself that he should take notice of the new employees from time to time.

"Please, take a seat"

She sat down on the colourful bean-bag cushion thing in the corner, as elegantly as she could (Digi Forge HQ was no place for formal work clothes and smart skirts), and proceeded to brief him about all the painful niggles in the latest negotiations with Hayden Games. They were concerned that we were trying to buy into their premier assets, namely the Prometheus AI Engine.

Sven took a deep breath, and exhaled. His eyebrows moved up and down his forehead in sync. Then he did some kind of strange muscle-stretching thing with his hands.

"OK, thanks for the info. Let me write up a draft letter and I'll get back to you."

She stood up, as gracefully as she could, and left. Sven started fiddling with the cuddly highland-cow toy on his desk.

To Hayden Games
From Digi Forge

We do not expect access to either the Prometheus or Hephaestus engines for such an amount as was offered. Primarily we are looking to create new software and development tools for faster game development, new Takk-specific 3D and collision engines, and software to help with optimising the use of the relatively-limited resources of our Takk platform. The development tools in particular are something we feel could be beneficial for your company as well as ours.

All we ask from you is your employee's expertise, in addition to any minor software assets as may be appropriate. We do not wish to jeopardise your company's other commitments and dealings in any way.

Sincerely,
Sven Landerson

It will be exclusively for the Phoenix.

Question: what genre of games are not out in force for the phoenix that require good graphics? because I will do it that way.
