Gamespot Update

thanks for the nice information, I really thought North America was home to horses.

I agree with the unfun part, if you are deprived of luxes and resources. It can just kill a game. So, I do hope as well that they meant they will put a better overall balance in place.

So far, I simply lack the knowledge how crucial they will be. In fact, even this gamespot update let's us all guess a lot of things. maybe they themselves don't even know what will be the final version.
E.g line of sight has been changed again.

Of course not. There's still months to go before it gets released, a lot can change between now and then. It all depends on the playtesters at this point. And since a number of them are probably from this forum, I think we can expect resources to be handled well.

I'd personally like to see resources only go so far, like one only supplies 5-10 cities, so you'd need multiple resources in order to maintain a large empire.

If it is like PTW and C3C, gameplay was changing weekly up till the end.

I entirely disagree with the decision on strategic resources... what's the point if everyone has them?

As has already been said, MDM, it is far more likely that players won't ever have all possible resources. It just means that no civ will go the length of the game without at least 1 of the many strategic resources that will appear in the game. I really think we should all be 100% sure of our facts before we begin criticising their decisions.

Yours,
